    Joe Frazier
    George Foreman
    Mike Tyson
    Ezzard Charles

    He's second class of 4.

    3) Good, but not great:
    Floyd Patterson
    Sonny Liston
    Ingemar Johnanssen
    Gene Tunney
    Jimmy Ellis

    4) Titlists:
    Trevor Berbick
    Chris Byrd
    Pinklon Thomas
    Mike Weaver
    George Chuvalo

I agree with you there myself and i'm a huge Lennox fan but we have to be realistic. I like how you divided that into four, it's alot better than putting them all in one set like i did. Where would you put Jack Johnson and Joe Louis? Surely they are in the top too.

Yeah, Louis is the greatest heavyweight of all time in my opinion. Jack Johnson was also in the elite.

Yeah, it's as I thought, there's no real conclusions here. I was looking for fighters who, like Ruiz, appear to have no fans whatsoever.

I mean, Frank Bruno may be derided for his boxing ability and his lack of success, but he was far, far more popular than Lewis due to his personality... in his home country at least.

Naz, Tyson and Lennox have haters - but the first two also have lovers, while the third has appreciaters.

There's no one that really comes close to Ruiz's overall lack of popularity. Who gave this thread one star anyway?

good list but ezzard charles IS NOT SECOND TIER, the man is one of the greatest champions of all time, he decisioned Joe Louis, and beat Walcott 4 out of 5 times, was one of the very few to take the Rock the distance and roughed him up bad

He didn't dominate on the level Joe Louis or Ali did.

                  Hated fighters:

                  Naz
                  Ruiz
                  Lewis
Hatton - I think it's fair to put him in this group unfortunately, outside of the uk he has hardly any fans.
