Also, Cotto has to reset himself after he throws punches. That was one of the places where Tony got him last time.

It is like a slow train wreck when he starts going backwards, it doesn't look that bad to start although he eats a ton of shots but it continually gets worse until the gruesome outcome.

If Cotto can come in and make Margarito go backwards he wins, he is the better technical boxer but he isn't a guy that freezes out the other guy, plus Margarito has longer arms so running away doesn't benefit Cotto that much because Margarito will come into range first Cotto and can land as he tries to get away, Cotto would be much better served moving in so he really get inside the arc where Margarito is really dangerous and do work from there.

Ladies and gentleman, just something i think you should all consider:

In the first fight Cotto was dominant for the first 6-7 rounds, before Margarito made his late charge and pummeled Cotto into submission. Cotto hit Margarito with alot of shots before he got tired and worn down. Margo has since had his skull ****ed by SSM and been annihilated by MP. Margarito has had surgery to correct a broken orbital bone, and also correct the subsequent development of a cataract because of the MP fight. His eye isn't in good shape. Normally NYSAC would not license in this circumstance, but predictably they've bent the rules for the sake of economics. '

This fight will get stopped by about round 8 or earlier, with the doctor calling it off due to Margo's eye. The fight is going to play out the same way the first one did with Cotto landing alot early and outboxing Margo, but this time Margarito isn't going to be able to stand up to the punishment because of the eye and the punishment he has taken post Cotto and the fight will be stopped. Cotto was hitting Margo at will in the first fight early, same will happen here, except he has a nice target to aim for.

I'm glad the fight is on, although Margarito's chances will be worse than the first fight. The doctors will be observing that eye very closely, and if Cotto shakes it enough they are going to stop it for sure. It's actually a relatively unfair advantage given to Cotto, since information about one's injury isn't usually spread to the public like this. I have Cotto by TKO.

He doesn't have to make Margarito go backwards to win... he needs to be able to do what he did for the first 5 rounds in the first fight... clean accurate combinations, and MOVE.... what he needs to fix... is his endurance... by rounds 5 and 6... he would throw a combination, but the movement slowed, and he would stay in one spot longer, and longer... until he relied on his defense to block and slip punches instead of his legs to keep him out of range.

His defense is not good enough to make Margarito miss everything... he has to be able to use his legs all 12 rounds... if he can do that, he wins. If he can't... we see a repeat.
