He should retire. That is straight humiliation.

Man, don't ever compare Ortiz who did jack **** in his career besides beat Berto (who also has done jack **** in his career) to Cotto again. Seriously man.
Lol @ Judah, Quintana, Corley, Torres, Bailey and NDou. ROFL. OMFG, talk about fillers.

Come on man, I don't even mention Judah as a good win for Floyd, and Floyd beat him first. And i'm a *****.

Stick to arguing for Hopkins man, that was sad.

I doubt he will, he has had to live with the humiliation for 3+ years everyday, I am sure it has to bother him and believe that he will give it everything he has in this last chance to resolve the situation in his mind.

wow you're acting pretty ****** right now, kev. All those guys I mentioned are solid fighters, and LOL @ you leaving out Shane Mosley. You like Floyd's win over mosley, but Cotto beat him first. hmm.

All these guys were highly ranked fighters when Cotto beat them: Zab Judah, Shane Mosley, Carlos Quintana, Paulie Malignaggi, Ricardo Torres, DeMarcus Corley, Randall Bailey, Lovemore Ndou.

Again, you're seriously going to compare Ortiz' resume, who's had two title fights, to Cotto's? Be real man. Ortiz beat Berto....and ah, a shot Campbell, a shot Vivian Harris, beyond that his best win besides Berto is probably Mike Arnaoutis.

So yeah, please STFU with the comparison.

Well, he already gave a couple of hints in the HBO Face Off with Kellerman that he may "throw in the towel" himself... I wont be surprised if he takes a knee as soon as the going gets tough..and I'm not even a margarito fan..none of these guys appeal to me..I just wanna watch a good fight but Cotto seems to have given up already when he realized that margarito is prepared to die in the ring and doesn't care about a half healed eye either...

Cotto will never quit again. He had to hear about that a lot I'm sure, and in the Clottey fight he proved he won't quit. And that cut took 28 stitches.

Cotto may quit in one of his fights, but not against Margarito. Not even a chance, the guy has too much pride in himself and hates Margarito, if Margarito is going to win he'll have to KO him.

Either way Cotto will TKO Margarito.

I think Cotto "quitting" is being over-analyzed, and basically being blown out of proportion. Did he NOT go 11 rounds with multiple cuts and a busted nose? What did he have to do to gain respect? It's not like Klitschko where he simply gassed after throwing too many punches. Cotto was dishing out punishment but was also receiving it every single round. Everybody has a threshold, and Cotto had reached his, but he was smart enough to stop the fight before he reached the end of no return. Margarito could've easily done permanent damage in those last 3-4 mins had Cotto made that choice. Regardless of what fight fans say, it was a good decision.
