if Cotto quits again would you laugh I would not our of malicous but just cause he put him self in that position he has said all this that cotto is not a man his dog is more of a man and this and that and if margarito makes him quit what does that say about cotto. I would loose all respect for cotto.
What if Cotto Quits again this time earlier

Well......the thing is now we are all under assumption that Margarito's eye is not 100% - and even if he is approved to fight, I have to believe Cotto is going to go out of his way to target it. IF he changes an effective strategy of boxing here and there JUST to target the eye and Margarito ends up walking thru it all, there is a possibility he checks out of the fight and goes into retreat.
Part of this fight is going to be composure and Cotto not getting discouraged that Marg's eye isn't busting up like he thought it would. The discouragement comes before the retreat, and the retreat means Marg will up the stalking and the beginning of the end take shape as with many of Tonys fights. -
People say he quit as if he had reason to go on in that Margarito fight. He was DONE. Going straight back with arms down and taking a knee without so as much as having a punch land, he was SPENT. Witnessing those 10 and a half of rounds of brutality live as they unfolded was brutal. I'm sure Cotto gave it all until it was evident that he had absolutely nothing left anymore.if Cotto quits again would you laugh I would not our of malicous but just cause he put him self in that position he has said all this that cotto is not a man his dog is more of a man and this and that and if margarito makes him quit what does that say about cotto. I would laugh.
If the fight ends up being a close war...Expect Arum to make a tourney of Pacquiao-Marquez 4, Margarito-Cotto III, winners fight eachother
Marquez vs Margarito at 149lbs! Azteca Stadium 2012...let's make it happen baby.Comment

If a man thinks he cannot win and is just taking a beating i can respect him taking a knee. For example cotto and Ortiz
Honestly i have much more respect for them knowing when to take a knee then for Margarito not knowing when to take one against PacComment

no it just means you're a P*SSY! Because everyone on boxingscene would fight 12 rounds with any pro fighter and NEVER quit after any type of beating or injury because not only is NSB fulled with keyboard warriors it's fill with TRUE warriors as well, ones that will never quit!Comment

I agree somewhat, but then they have to make a name for themselves again vs a top fighter. Something Cotto has not really done. Ortiz at least did it against Berto and held his own against Peterson[I thought Ortiz won], also beat a faded Campbell. Cotto has beaten Michale Jennings for a vacant title, a faded Mayorga who every one thought Cotto should have blown out of there[I myself predicted Cotto in 6], lost to Pacquiao, and beat the one-legged *** Yuri Foreman.
So it depends what you quit for...Like what did you go on to do? Fight a bunch of faded or outmatched fighters?Comment

wow did you just compare ortiz to cotto? Really?I agree somewhat, but then they have to make a name for themselves again vs a top fighter. Something Cotto has not really done. So cotto didn't beat Zab Judah, Shane Mosley, Carlos Quintana, Paulie Malignaggi, Ricardo Torres, DeMarcus Corley, Randall Bailey, Lovemore Ndou, etc.?
Man, don't ever compare Ortiz who did jack **** in his career besides beat Berto (who also has done jack **** in his career) to Cotto again. Seriously man.Comment

I agree here for the most part here, the difference is that there is no doubt Cotto left part of himself in that ring BEFORE he took the knee. You could argue Ortiz quit on his knee before the real beating was going to ensue, it prevented futher damage in other words. Cotto took took his damage and then quit...perhaps it's a different road to take coming back from a beating like than it is still being fresh like Ortiz.I agree somewhat, but then they have to make a name for themselves again vs a top fighter. But what if Cotto didn't take that knee...would he have gotten his eye busted up like Margo? I mean, i can't see quitting like jr. Whitter did when he wasn't hurt at all, he just didn't feel like fighting anymore.no it just means you're a P*SSY! Because everyone on boxingscene would fight 12 rounds with any pro fighter and NEVER quit after any type of beating or injury because not only is NSB fulled with keyboard warriors it's fill with TRUE warriors as well, ones that will never quit!
Cotto was in the 11th round beaten 1/2 to death, blood pouring out of every hole in his head, busted nose since the 2nd round, swallowing blood all them rounds killed his stamina...guy had nothing left...i think there's a difference.
Plus he elected to keep fighting after the Clottey headbutt that required 28 stitches, he could have quit and won on the cards, but he didn't. That fight ended with a Cotto left hook clean on Clotteys jaw.Comment
