No real boxing fan HATES Pac. I love Pac but Pac is as big as he is MOSTLY (but not only), because of Floyd Mayweather. Fighting Marquez kind of exposed (only to those who didn't already know) the fact that Pac is only good against the opponents his team sets him up to look good against. He is great for the sport but he is NOT THE BEST.

he wont get credit for what he's done. . . even though no other fighter in the history of the sport has done it. . . but for most of us who are his fans, are used to it to the point of just writing it off. . . pacquiao was named FIGHTER OF THE DECADE, and in 20-30 years will be on just about everyone's (who matters in boxing) top 25 greatest fighters of all time list. . . somewhere between 10-25. . . but on internet websites where people ENJOY ANONYMITY they will keep on hating. . .

Around the time he blew through barrera I had already seen a few of his fights and thought he was great for boxing because of his explosiveness. That didnt start to change until his battle with DLH. I thought it was a **** move to weight drain oscar but since he was the little guy coming up I accepted it. Then when he buried hatton I thought he was making a legit strive for to be the welterweight king. Then the cotto fight came and the whole weight issue came again and this started turning me against him. Then he turned down a chance with floyd because of roids accusation and Mosely because he felt Mosley had some gas left in the tank. After this the combination of needle excuses, and weight draining Margarito, and made up belts finally made me step back and say "If hes the legit king of the mountain he shouldnt need all these games". I dont hate Manny but the bull**** does wear on you as a fan after a while.

So you tellin' that win was not legitimate??
In any case, how was that Pac's fault considering that who was cherrypicked.

Isn't it obvious? Pacquiao beat The Ricans, The Mexicans, The British fans fighters. Now, you know where the hate comes from. It's true Marquez beat Pacquiao but Pacquiao has beaten damn near all The Mexicans he fought with the exception of Morales and Marquez who both are weird Mexicans who fight more in a boxing manner than a brawling manner. Those two don't even fight in a traditional Mexican style.
The trend of Mexican sluggers/brawlers like Margarito, Angulo is a dying breed now adays, I'm starting to see more Mexicans fight in a boxing stance. Hell, Alvarez looks to be trying to transit to a boxing stance more then the traditional all out Mexican aggressive style. Skills pay the bills.Last edited by uoykcuf; 11-21-2011, 10:38 AM.
