why do u guys wan to see chavez fight martinez anyway? martinez has been boxing a decade longer, and is obviously a lot better. . . WHY WOULD U WANT TO SEE such an UNEVEN MATCHUP?! Why do people want to see Martinez vs JCC Jr? Out of curiosity.

Martinez is 36, he relies heavily on his reflexes and speed. Which will start eroding away as he continuous to age. He has a limited amount of time and fights left at an elite level. Although a Chavez jr fight wouldn't be the toughest fight out there it would give him exposure, which could land him bigger fights.
I will admit I also want to see him fight JCC jr because I dislike him.

waaaa. . . so what? he made bad choices and wasn't good enough to make it to the elite level sooner? shyt happens. . . some boxers get the right promotor, and make the right choices, which ultimately pay off. . . others don't. . . sergio got SONNED by "POPPA TONY", had he won that fight maybe he would have got where he is now 3-5 years sooner? rather, margarito left him in a helpless heap, slumped up against the ropes. . who cares. . . the guys a fraud. . . he fights under the guise of some "people's champ", like he doesn't care about getting paid and only cares about fans, fights, etc. . . and people ACTUALLY BUY INTO IT!!! LOL!

I never thought much of the guy. I understood why he wasn't that good. He started boxing pretty late and didn't have an amateur background, what made me go from neutral to hater was when they gifted him the WBC strap.

What about Morales who was also gifted a belt by the WBC? When his fight fell through with Matthyssee, they STILL made his fight against an unproven, young, journeyman type fighter for a strap? I certainly think Zbik is a more credible opponent than the guy morales beat for his strap?

Sturm might be ready for the taking, but I don't think Junior is the man to do it.Another thing is that it'll cost a fortune to get him back to the US.
