If Margarito Knocks Cotto Out again......

Will he give Marg his due respect or will he continue to say his dog is more human than Margarito is, and that the black thread from the glove on his wrap is a crack that show the wraps were loaded?

He probably would give Tony his respect.

But at that point, who cares what Cotto thinks? Tony would have already proved was an innocent man, if Cotto admits it or not.

Honestly, I cannot wait to hear what excuse Cotto fans will have. If the fight happens in NYC. Everything will be against Tony, it will be a pro-Cotto crowd, Tony is going with one eye, bookies will probably be against Tony.

But on all that, if he comes out victorious, a lot of people on here owe him an apology.

We're supposed to apologize to that cheating bastard now?

Everyone with something between their ears knows the first Margarito fight ruined Cotto. Getting hit by bricks instead of gloves can do that to you. So, we're supposed to suck Tony's **** for beating on him some more?

          Apologize?

It would damage Cotto's legacy BIG TIME. Cotto and Margarito both are really one big win away from being ATG's of their era, but the winner of this fight may be remembered as a ATG of their era, and the other probably won't. With that said, neither guy is in their prime, but Margarito is past his prime and not even that good anymore at all. The last time we saw Margarito somewhat prime was against Mosley in early 09', and he faded fast after getting KO'd by Mosley. The last time we saw a prime Cotto was in 08' against Margarito, and he has faded since, but not as quickly as Margarito has. However, Cotto is close to not even being that good anymore, and I would favor Kirkland, Lara, and Alvarez to beat him at this point.

I think Cotto will win a UD over Margarito though.

What's sad is the first Margarito fight really damaged Cotto. No matter what Pacquiao fans try and say, Cotto hasn't been that good or prime since that fight, not even close. After that fight, Cotto beat a no name in Jennings, arguably got beat and looked awful against a past prime Clottey, got killed by Pacquiao, beat an unproven prime Foreman, and beat a past prime Mayorga. He hasn't really done much.

To be completely honest, I don't consider either of them to be ATGs in any era. Both of them are above average overrated fighters with a name. Even if Cotto wins this fight it's like...okay he beat a one eyed Margarito when he's 1-2 in his last three. Sure on an emotional scale it'd be big but legacy wise it's whatever. The same goes with Tony beating a shot Cotto at this point who fights for just the money now.

This is a fight based off emotion.

You can't be an ATG of your own era. ATG = All-Time Great. All-Time = all eras.

I didn't say I'd consider them ATG's, but you can bet that some people will. They are both a big win away from being ATG's, but this fight isn't the one. If Cotto were to beat Margarito this fight, although Antonio is far past it at this point, and than beat Kirkland or Lara, I'd consider him an ATG.

But, at this point, I don't think Cotto or Margarito will get another big win in their careers. I think Cotto and Margarito are where Ricky Hatton was. Hatton was another big win away from ebing an ATG, and he didn't get it. He came up short. Hatton is a really good fighter, but not an ATG, same with Margarito and Cotto.

Look man, you know what I meant. I meant like one of the ATG's on their era, though I don't think either one of them is at this point.
