  • Sergio Martinez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

How long do you think Chavez JR lasts vs. Sergio Martinez? I think he is capable of going 12 rounds. JR is not a finished product in my opinion. I think he might give Sergio a bit of a struggle in the beginning. If it goes to a decision do you think Martinez could somehow get robbed?

If you choose KO try and specify which round you think it could happen.

I watch every single hbo card year in year out but if I had to leave out certain cards it would be chavez's fights and also canelo's they get paid a mill to fight noones and look very average doing so. With that being said sergio by ko

5th Rd if Martinez shows some mercy. This will NOT go to a decision.

Remember, Barker has some defense. Julia no defense. Don't simply try using output rate against Martinez.

Wow, tough words man. I think both of them are not at their peak and with the crazy exposure they have already so early in their careers, everyone expects the best out of them. I think with time they will prove themselves. But yes I do agree with you. They shouldn't be getting paid millions and shown on HBO with mismatched opponents like this.

I am not sure, Chavez JR seems like a tough kid, I think he would get stopped late on the count of the referee thinking he was taking too much of a beating or his father telling his corner to throw in the towel. He has that fighting DNA in him and I think he would not give up in a fight. Martinez to me is not that big of a puncher, if he was he would have stopped Barker in better fashion. Might have been a bad night for Martinez but I think he is slowing down and with Chavez progressing, it could turn out to be a better or more competitive fight in the long run. I am no nuthugger of Chavez but I give him the benefit of the doubt and I truly think he has potential if he just pushes himself fight after fight.

Sergio toys with him then puts him to sleep in the 9th.

I think he's too big for Martinez to KO. Chavez has always had a good chin and he'll have a 15 pound fight night advantage. I think it'll go to the scorecards.
