Apparently, having a stray t-shirt thread on your handwrap after a fight, is punishable by revocation of license.

This whole thing is completely laughable now that HBO has unknowingly exposed the truth behind the entire incident.

And this is coming from a Cotto fan, and someone who was pissed when the allegations first broke, just to clarify, as I don't feel the need to defend myself or my opinion against a ton of butt-hurt Cotto stans.

Like Cotto isn't? Took him an extra 2-3 rounds to stop a one legged Hebrew.

I am puerto rican and I can tell you Margarito beat Miguel straight up and will do so again, confirmation of this is in the Pac vs Cotto fight in which Manny didnt have loaded gloves is the smaller guy and was able to get cotto to swell much much more, look at cottos face in between the 10th and the 11th once they wipe the blood off you dont see as much swelling.
Problem is people post the images of Miguel bleading with the swelling that in itself makes for a dramatic effect people mis read into it once the blood is wiped as was the case in between rounds he looks like he is in a normal boxing match...

But why did he swell more with Pacquiao? I think a thread round these parts can explain that

If anything like a "solid" pad were to be of any use, it would HAVE to be shaped exactly like the knuckles and fit exactly over the knuckles. This obviously was not so in the appearance of the bandages after the Cotto fight. They looked perfectly normal. I am surprised that Cotto would have lent himsefl to the dialogue in this video, and I saw a quote from him a few months ago saying that he did not accuse Margarito of having an illegal pad. But this video says differently.

The pad NEEDS to be soft to fit over the knuckles, the otherwise it can fit only on the back of the hand part meeting the knuckle, or across the fingers themselves which not only would be very obvious, but very uncomfortable and likely do damage to the knuckle itself.

Regardless of what 2 "Plaster of Paris" ingredients were found in the pre-Mosley fight used pad, one of them, according to this video was talcum. Talcum is widely used in boxing, as are other kinds of absorbent powders. The original announced 2 ingredients did not mention talcum as far as I recall, but the official report said that BOTH ingredients were used in many other manufactured items in PARTICULAR in cosmetics. Wellllll... talcum powder of course, is a cosmetic.

Anyway, I hope this is a great fight, and although Pacquiao may have taken too much out of Margarito. If he is any example of the great old time fighters, he shoudl be able to shrug it off and still be good. If so he should beat Cotto again, although, Cotto if he's smart, will stick to boxing instead of fighting. Is he capable of this for 12 rounds ...I don't know.

By the way the Chavez fight tonight was a lot better than expected and both fighters had their moments, but Chavez, as soon as he sensed the moment, and it was the RIGHT moment, was onto Manfredo like a tiger and beat him up in, as Col Bob said, 21 unanswered heavy punches. Result, ref stopped fight in 6th (I think).

Chavez is improving steadily, punching very fast and heavy, but still takes a little too much unneccessary punishment for my liking.
You are beyond ******. Margarito is accused of using plaster embedded gauze.

It starts of soft, since... well you know.... they use it to wrap broken arms and such... It starts to harden when exposed to moisture, which means that it would also likely diffuse into the actual glove and harden the padding of the glove as well as the hand wraps.

That doesn't prove his wraps weren't loaded, but that isn't a crack/rip in the gauze.

And also agree with the 'no thudding blows' statement being silly. There was NO blows in the Mosley fight. It's not like he was hitting Shane with tons of punching, but they didn't do damage like before.
The "thuddung " blows depend on the manipulation of thr sound system.............

funny I seen it in hd and was gonna post it before i read this same thing..on the new 24-7 when marg is holding his belt with his left hand after the first cotto fight and I also seen and paused it then ask people around what it looked like to them and we agreed it was black thread and the pic that cotto throws in his face is blurred but the u shaped loop is dangling thread and has a slight shadow...Cotto get all the angles like Carlito said in carlitos way..

On the closeup, it definitely doesn't look like a crack. Oh well, it'll sell the fight even more.
