whats strange about all of this is that i dont ever remember any other fighter being constrained like this. neither floyd nor oscar ever ceded control to bob arum like that. those guys pretty much lined up who they wanted or at least tried to.

get Arum out of the way and this fight HAPPENS, I been posting that for months that he is the hold up, but people with in the media refuse to call out Arum almost as if they are AFRAID to call him out

I feeling is that Arum KNOWS Pacquiao won't be Mayweather so he wants to use him up and make as much money as he can then throw him to Mayweather...because if Mayweather dominates him and beats him then the Money Flow for Pacquiao will be OVER! He Knows that, so I think he would rather keep fooling the ****** FANS...and WHO CAN BLAME HIM, he has the Media and Pacquiao fans eating out of his hands and believing the HYPE about Pacquiao

if Arum was so confident that Manny "WOULD BEAT MAYWEATHER" then he would throw him in their with Mayweather NOW and if he does "DOMINATE MAYWEATHER" like Arum thinks, then that would be even more money for them...but he really don't believe that!

Why be so ******? Look at his resume, how is he a hypejob?

Pac's resume>Floyd's, easily.

You can have the opinion, but "easily" is WAY WAY WAY off base.

Taking into account resumes of fighters, you also have to look at where those fighters where at in their careers and what they had done coming into the fight.

The only big fights you can 100% for sure say that Pac's opponent was in their prime were Ledwaba, Barrera I, Marquez I (draw), and Solis. That's it.

Morales I (loss) was sort of in between. Morales hadn't looked the same in 04' as he did from 98-03, if you were actually watching boxing back then. By 05' and his first fight with Manny, I think Morales was past his best, but still good.

Morales II, Morales III, Marquez II, Diaz, Hatton, Cotto, they were all past their primes, past their best, but still good.

Barrera II, De La Hoya, Clottey, Margarito, Mosley, Marquez III, ALL were past their primes clearly.

Lets examine what each had fighter had done coming into the fight with Pacquiao as well.

The only fights where Manny's opponents were coming off wins and not losses and horrid outings were...Ledwaba, Barrera I, Marquez I (draw), Solis, Marquez II, Diaz, and Marquez III.

Morales I (coming off a loss to Barrera, still beat Manny that fight), Morales II (coming off loss to Raheem), Morales III (he was ocming off a loss to Pacquiao, so that don't count), Barrera II (he was coming off a loss to Marquez), De La Hoya (coming off loss to Floyd and looked awful against Forbes), Hatton (coming off loss to Floyd and looked awful against Lazcano and Malignaggi), Clottey (hadn't won a fight in two years), Margarito (coming off loss to Mosley), Mosley (coming off loss to Floyd and looked awful against Mora).

It's no coincidence.

With regard to Floyd's resume....Manfredy, Corrales, Chavez, C. Hernandez, Castillo I, Castillo II, N'dou, Judah, Hatton, Ortiz, all were in their primes when Floyd fought those fights.

G. Hernandez and Marquez were past their primes, but still good.

Gatti, Baldomir, De La Hoya, and Mosley were past their primes when Floyd them.

Let's examine what each fighter had done coming into the fight with Floyd.

The only fights where Floyd's opponent was coming losses or a terrible performance was Judah and Marquez, if you count Marquez' 2nd fight with Pacquiao as a loss. So really, only Judah (who was beat by Baldomir prior to his Floyd fight), because Marquez looked good against Pac going into the fight with Floyd in 09'.

G. Hernandez (hadn't lost in 3 years and only had one loss to a prime Oscar), Manfredy (hadn't lost in 4-5 years, coming off win over a prime Gatti), Corrales (unbeaten), Chavez (hadn't lost in 4-5 years), C. Hernandez (hadn't lost in 3-4 years), Castillo I (hadn't lost in 4-5 years, coming off win over a prime Johnston), Castillo II (immediate rematch), N'dou (hadn't lost in 6-7 years), Gatti (hadn't lost in 3 years, 5 straight wins), Baldomir (hadn't lost in 8 years, coming off win over a prime Judah), De La Hoya (lost to hopkins 3 years earlier, KO'd Mayorga in his comeback fight before Floyd), Hatton (unbeaten), Marquez (only losses in 9-10 years were controversial decisions to John in 06' and Pac in 08'), Mosley (hadn't lost in 3 years, coming off wins over Mayorga and Margarito), and Ortiz (hadn't lost in 2 years, coming 5 straight wins, one over previously unbeaten berto, and a draw he should have won over highly rated Peterson).

So, taking that into account, it's really close actually.

Oscar and Floyd are reasonably educated. They at least went to high school.

Yeah, I definitely fit that billing. I really thought that when all the posturing was done this fight would be made. Instead Team Pac is doing more posturing.

Well one thing that needs to remain clear is that it is Bob Arum, not Pac. However, Pac needs to man up and tell Bob what to do and not the other way around.

Some people say that Pac "hides" behind Arum's decisions in order to keep getting the easy fights.

Remember a year ago when Arum said that Mosley was a better opponent than Marquez or Berto? Remember that? All of the Paclanders got in line and repeated that statement. Even though the entire knowledgeable boxing community knew better.

Mosley was the WORST fighter out of Marquez, Berto and Mosley.

that sucks for Mayweather then, best fight on his resume in years. Marquez was fat and looked like **** at 147.
