Dec. 3rd Undercard fighter: "Cotto-Margarito is going to Texas"

    Woodsy1069 Michael Woods
Rumor, don't quote me on this: Dec. 3 undercard fighter told Thursday that fight will be in Texas, not NY.

Woods is the ESPN writer who wrote about the fight that may not be leaving NY much earlier today.

How much cash is Arum going to throw at Cotto to get him to fight in Texas?

I honestly don't see this one going to the cards anyway, but I doubt Miguel is happy about this.

How the hell are they going to get a venue deal worked out, sell tickets, and prepare the arena in 2 weeks? Pure debacle.

What the eff... I was out with the fam then enjoying some Tebow time, and I log on to see this? Also just read on Big Dan's twitter, one of the worlds best eye doc's, said the eye is good (along with a second highly respected doc).

Does it seem like it's about the eye any more or just not having him fight (in NY)?

            Its a disaster.

Dan Rafael is going off on twitter.

He's actually mostly angry at the commission because they allowed the promotion and were present at all the pressers like a sign of approval.

Cotto won't do it.... he knows Texas is no N.Y. He won't be able to get away with robberies like they pulled on Mosley and Clottey. Fight will be off.

It has to be here in Houston.

Cowboy Stadium is too big. They got a fight here this weekend, and if there is a big turn out, I can see it being at the same spot.

If not there, then the Toyota Center, where Juan Diaz fought a couple of times.

Yeah, both Top Rank and the NYSAC are to blame for this. The commissioner should've have been at the kick off press conference, and the commission should've let Top Rank know there was a good chance Tony wasn't going to get licensed. And of course Top Rank shouldn't have done **** without first making sure Tony would be allowed to fight.

On a side note, if Tony's eye is causing this much trouble... there has to be a reason for it. If the commission thinks he's risking his vision in fighting, then he should retire. Robert Garcia and the ringside doctors and the ref should've stopped the slaughter against Pac in the 9, 10th at the latest. Now look at the result

Disgusting on all counts. Boxing needs to be revamped from the top down.
