i actually like this new ranking.

this just means floyd is now the superior and seemingly invincible with his 0 losses.

so when pac fights him, he will once again be the underdog and maybe with that train of thought, he'll have the killer instinct once again to try and KO floyd just like he had the killer instinct back when Pac was a lightweight.

i'm pretty sure if Pac reverted back to his old ways of boxing, he'd knock down JMM several times last weekend rather than playing a chess match with him.

      Manny-1 Floyd-1

Pacman knocks hatton out in 2 rounds, while floyd takes 10 and loses some rounds.

      Manny 2 Floyd 1

Pacman tko's de la hoya in a dominating fashion, while floyd gets a very close split decision.

      Manny 3 Floyd 1

no but seriously, congratulations floyd for doing 1 fight better than manny
Floyd - De La Hoya, 154 pounds coming off K.O Victory

Floyd - Undefeated Hatton coming off K.O Victory

Floyd - Mosley #1 Welterweight in World Coming of K.O victory

Floyd - Marquez No 2 P4P coming off K.O victory

Floyd fought the better younger version of all the coming opponents......

Manny didn't OFFICIALLY lose so they should still have him ranked 1...can't knock him off the throne without him taking a "L" imo

on the flip I can see WHY big man might've elevated Floyd top #1 and dropped Manny....the cherry picking tour didn't help....meaningless fights against Marg, Mosley and Clottey....then getting schooled by the LW king at WW....c'mon son, the top dude at WW is NOT supposed to be going life and death with the LW champ...hell no!!!....then Floyd comes off the bench and shuts down Shane and then step in the lions den with a young hungry lion and did his thing....if he was into belt collecting like you know who...then he'd be strapped up with the WBA, and WBC belts right now....dam near cleaned out the division while holding the fort part time.....thats saying that full time fighters like Manny wasn't doing their job....the careful match making by Team Pac has come back to bite them hella hard.....only thing left is to just go fight Floyd...take that "L"....let the flag wave in the Phillipines at half staff for about a week....and then rally the troops behind Flash....he got next!!!

The Number 1 Pound for Pound shouldnt be a fraud with poor boxing skills , a fraud like Pacquiao .

the #1 p4p in the world shouldnt be a fraud who won by sucker punching a boxer not even a top p4p, a fraud like Mayweather.

Its Dan's Rafael's P4P... Ring magazine's P4P is not decided by one writer... its a panel... so I guess I will go for Ring's P4P...

alright, i wont argue with that, but i will argue that floyd shouldnt go straight to #1 winning a fight like that.
it just seems he took #1 spot just becuz pac couldnt KO jmm last weekend

imo, i dont think theres a #1 spot until floyd, manny, or martinez decided to fight each other, then i'll decide who is #1.

in my books, both floyd and manny is #2 and martinez #3

You subscribe to this copout in order to keep from admitting the obvious. The reality is that Mayweather has been the best p4p fighter in the world for years. The only real reason that Pacquiao was given the crown is because all the Mayweather haters jumped on his bandwagon and drank Arum's kool-aid. I'm not discounting the things that Pacquiao has done but if you've kept those things in their proper perspective then there's no reason that you should have ever thought that he was a better fighter than Mayweather. He's just not and he never has been.
