    I have to agree. If Barker, who is a VERY limited fighter, could do that kind of damage, what would Kirkland do???

      and yes, Martinez is in danger of losing his lofty perch if he does not turn in a performance that at least borders upon dominant the next time around

            well one, kirkland is a junior middleweight, his team said they're good at that weight. two, martinez is no cash cow, his team is looking for one to fight, and kirkland is not it. i wouldn't mind it, but kirkland would have to fight before it cause dibella already has martinez lined up to fight macklin () on st. patrick's day in new york. so perhaps in the summer? and that's if kirkland moves up to 160 cause i'm pretty sure martinez won't move down for anyone besides mayweather/pacquiao so yeah. kirkland has alvarez, trout, martirosyan, lara, and molina in his weight class though, going after martinez would be something i wouldn't think he or his team would do. and according to doktorsleepless, that's the case. good fight though i guess, both guys want to get their names out there more for sure...
