I was also on Marquez's side after the bout, but after watching again the whole bout 3x with slow motion and sharp attention to JMM's footwork, it changed my mind. No wonder why Pac was off balanced most of the time and he cannot launch an effective punch or evade an attack. How can you? Your opponent is stepping on your foot for stabilization. Take notice, when his foot is on top of Manny's, he will launch an offensive. He does not take notice that his foot is on top of Manny's 7-8x while Manny does when Manny's foot is on top of JMM's 2x the entire bout? That is plain BS man.

dude as much as Freddie Roach loves to talk and as many films he watches he would have been the FIRST to bring this up, he is a good observer of what goes on, chances are he would have complain during the bout.. therefore this is Bull**** , it happens when u have a lefty vs an orthodox , ALWAYS happens, i saw it plenty of times in Judah - Floyd..this is just something Paq fans dug deep to point out to justify ''SuperMan'' looking like just an amateur in front of the world, in other words, an embarrassed fanbase looking for some evil act by JMM simply cuz they cant believe the guy that was suppose to fall in round 1 LOL lasted the whole 12 rounds, and won...Watch this on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dD8eFWKPUpg
My observation:
1. Marquez will only launch an attack on Manny when his foot is on top of Manny's foot with his heel touching the canvass. Although this happens in boxing when a southpaw meets an orthodox figther, it is quite disturbing that Marquez will not remove his foot if he notices it was on top of Manny's, and looks like when he fails to land his foot on top of Manny's, he will hesitate to launch a counterstrike. I think when your foot is being stepped on, it will offset your balance and your ability to evade some of the punches. Cramps? Not impossible.
2. Manny was also seen twice doing that, but he also managed to evade JMM's foot by tilting his foot, and/or immediately removing his upon sensing his foot is on top of JMM's. However, JMM seems to have stepped on Manny's 7-8X during the bout with his foot almost entirely on top of Manny's foot and he will only attack if he plants his foot on top of Manny's foot perfectly. Although it is hard to look on the opponent's foot while fighting, it is not impossible to practice this on training with another sparring partner to facilitate what you call proprioceptive feedback. Even if you do this without looking at the opponent's foot, one way or the other your foot will land on the opponent's foot if you do this all the time.
Watch the replay of the entire bout and observe JMM's foot and do a slow motion if you can, you decide for yourself whether it is intentional or not.
My take: It definitely neutralized Manny's footwork and kept him off balanced the whole bout. But it is still cheating if it was intentional. 7-8 times during the bout? hmmm.... you decide.Comment

Nacho STFU!!!
I am so sick of Nacho Bendejostien, he's a ****ty trainer & that's why Marquez lost!!! Why in the world did he tell him to cruise the last 3 rounds, didn't he remember De La Hoya-Trinidad. Not to mention De La Hoya lost his final fight badly against Pacquiao with him as the trainer. And he proclaimed Perro Angulo would KO Canelo easily only to see him gas out against Kirkland and throw ropey punches the rest of the way and get KO'd by a guy who was KO'd himself by a guy with only 6 KO's. Marquez was a natural talent & Nacho being his trainer was the only reason people thought so highly of him.
Nacho no robbery, you're the reason Marquez lost!!!!Comment

Marquez lunges forward with long stride, carefully planting his feet on top of Manny's foot, heel on canvass stabilizing his position for a counterattack. He does not attack when his foot fails to land on Manny's, even seen hesitating or backing up most of the time when it does. After stepping, he even puts his weight on it, unlike Manny who immediately removes his feet when he did it 2x, even tilting his feet to avoid stepping on JMM's. JMM doing this 7-8x during the bout? Watch the entire bout again, mute, with attention to JMM's foot work. If you do not take notice, you must be dumb or plain ******.Comment

Well they were not of this magnitude a Lara vs Williams fight doesn't compare to a Pacquiao vs Marquez fight.Comment
