Saying fighter a beat fighter b because he was able to exploit a range advantage and counter punching, and fighter b happened to beat fighter c because of range and counter punching. It is like that fighter a will beat fighter c due to range and counter punching~

Sorry, but it is. Unless he actually gets in the ring with him, you're relying on another separate fighter, separate person on a separate occasion beating him as your evidence.

The reason why this seals the deal of Floyd whooping Pacquiaos ass is because Pacquiao revealed himself to be a 1 handed fighter who eats counters like it's his last meal. He is not a complete fighter, he has not made progress in the past years. Infact he has probably gotten worse because he is used to fighting sandbags and not actual boxers. Horrible argument. mayweather dominated marquez because he forced him to play the aggressor since floyd had a significant reach advantage over marquez, so it was A) get potshotted for 12 rounds and try to counter a longer, faster, stronger man or B) be the aggressor and take punishment to dish some out to the larger taller, longer man. That is what marquez did against floyd and why he lost so badly. Also npacquaio is no genius in the ring iq department. If he cant blast you out with his amazing power and speed and stamina, or break your will he can be easily boxed, and is a sucker for counters. Also his reach is the same as marquez which means he has to be in marquez' punching range to land. He also is not that hard to time, and uses a bit of headmovement along with his seeming;y unstoppable offense as his defense, and if you take that offense away from him with timing, and footwork, then he is an open book, We saw that on saturday from a blown up marquez. Luckily marquez did not do this at 130 or else he might have stopped him. The mayweather fight will look totally different, because mayweather can time him, has speed to match, and can pot shot since he holds a nice reach advantage. Pacquaio will look very sloppy, but can definitely tag mayweather at times.

You can read a lot by watching fights close and figuring out what issues a guy has, it is not impossible for another guy to exploit the same weakness especially if that is their game~

I feel like things get easier after you've fought a guy so many rounds.

I mean after 30 you basically know everything you could possibly know.


I think that Floyd would have some feeling out rounds before he stepped on the gas so I doubt it would be a shut out.

That is true, JMM knew the deal. That played into my thinking about why I thought he would be competitive, JMM knew what to expect while others fighters really fell into Manny's trap.

I still think it ends up being very one sided because Floyd would range him, it would take some time before he completely got it worked out but he knows he has the longer range so he can use that rather easily (IMO). I am sure he would get tagged a few times until he figured out the exact spot Manny needs to be to land well, but once he gets that spot down the fight would never be in that spot again.
