But will JMM say no to another big payday is the biggest question.

Coz there's no such thing as damage limitation as the whole world knows JMM has Pac's number and will always be that way.
Hopefully he will say no and not just chase the money. He's made a lot and has the potential to continue making good money (although obviously not as much as a Pac fight) through other fights or by retiring and then pursuing Marquez Promotions and especially as a trainer.

I can't say for certain what I would do as I've clearly never been in his position, but I'm quite sure if someone screwed me over big time like this, I'd never accept a rematch and give them the opportunity for redemption. Particularly as the boxing world has my back about what actually happened.

I'll tell you why. If anyone noticed Marquez was a lot more successful this fight because he threw his punches and then immediately would take a few steps back to avoid Pacs return fire. In the first fight he would keep coming forward which is why he got dropped 3 times. The way Marquez became offensive while at the same time executing the backward step reminded me much of another fighter that I have seen somewhere before.

My point: Pac and Roach know they have to overcome this puzzle executed by Marquez before they can even think they'll have a chance to beat Mayweather
So now Marquez is the blueprint to beat Floyd?

Coz if that's your logic, the Pac should talk to Katsidis for tips on how to KO JMM.

      Correct me if I'm wrong...

      • marquez has a family and wants to ensure the continued financial success of his family for generations. . . he will get manny and top rank down to a 50/50 split on everything, and take the fourth fight. . .

          Fair enough.

But the lure of money will always prevail in this economy.

You're probably right, but how hilarious would it be if he told them to go **** themselves?

What could they possibly say then to avoid Mayweather?

And Marquez could sit back in the arena and watch Mayweather dismantle Pacquiao. Hell, Floyd would probably give him and his whole family free VIP seats.

Likely he will be guaranteed at least 10 million for a fourth fight. . . probably more since he has more bargaining power now.. He should make them give him 50/50, and him and manny both guaranteed 15 million. . . He has the chance to make more money in this fight than he has his entire career combined. . . If Pac really wants this fourth fight like he says, he will sacrifice his share of the loot to make it happen. . .
as much as I wanted to see PAC-PBF in May and fight JMM after that I just hope that if Pac-JMM 4 will happen first, Floyd is still available later 2012...

and I dont see JMM getting 50/50 but 10 Million is reasonable price and for sure JMM will take it ...

you make a good point. marquez and mayweather are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT fighters. . . Marquez does things differently than floyd. . . He had 24 rounds with Manny. . . Floyd has never faced a fighter like Manny. . . Manny, however, does have experience with a countering orthodox fighter. .. But still, it applies to Manny too - he has never faced a fighter like Floyd. . . This is a COMPLETELY NEW MATCHUP that CANNOT be gauged on their performance against a common opponent (marquez). . .

Exactly what I would do too. Forget the money they robbed Marquez 3 times now and they want to do it a 4th time too. Hell No, I would try to use my new popularity to set up some other popular fights. Like JMM vs Morales, JMM vs Amir Khan, JMM vs Bradley, JMM vs Berto, he has plenty options to make some money.

Best revenge ever, I'm praying Marquez says hell no too.

lol that would be funny. . . i know im going to catch criticism, but i don't believe tha pac/mayweather fight is a forgone conclusion. . . while floyd should definitely be the favorite, i think manny has more than a mere "puncher's chance". . . I would have Floyd as a 2.5 or 3-1 favorite. . . Marquez does do things a lot differently than floyd - and depending on how style's mesh, it's not necessarily a bad thing for manny. . . There are still a lot of dynamics at play that could play into Manny's favor.
