this^^^ it is a fact when pacquiao said "knock me out and you win"! marquez actually knows he cannot, take the risk of going for the KO, he will remain a counter punching stance no matter. he tried it in the first and second bout and hell be crazy to do that again UNLESS he will really gone crazy the next time. bottom line its always checkmate against marquez, he attacks, he waits-counter, still Manny will win.

like i said earlier,,nice to see the guys who actually box telling it like it is...and not hear the pacroid fans complain and say their fighter won,i'd be embarrassed if i were a pac fan because all they did was claim how their fighter was so much improved from their last fight and how he would ko him easily this time around and to hear them actually mention pac's name alongside the all time greats was even worse..i like what hopkins said here that mayweather would blitz right through him,,thats for sure

thats my whole point..you saying he should prove he can beat pac,but only way to prove it is by ko,because obviously he won't get the decision,never,and to be able to ko manny he would have to fight in a totally different way,be aggresive and let it all out,and that would mean abandoning his skills(which is what beats pac)...thats why i wouldn't take it,but if it's for money then hey,go ahead he's 38,this could very well just secure his future,but if it's really for beating pac,he's going to have to change his style and to a losing one,he will never get the decision when he uses his superior skills

Well, I don't exactly agree with you. It was a close fight, as all 3 have been. Manny P was expected to do much more than he did, and, although he won, he didn't do it clearly enough to shut his detractors. That's clear enough.

If it's said tht Marquez has Pacquiao's nember" it can equally be said that Pacquiao has marquez' number. In fact it can be said a bit stronger for MannyP because in all 3 fights he won the decisions. The first was a Judges ignorance which gave him a draw instead of a win.

So why not a 4th fight. Marquez is fighting for money, the schtik that he wants to show that he won the first 2 fights are excusable PR which is all part of the game of grabbing the fancy of the cash customers. That's the bottom line, and you know it.

Fans are distracted by their enthusiasms....I was like that when I was a kid, but have long, long got over it and can see things dispassionately. I like both Marquez and Pacquiao as people and fighters. And haven't had a favourite since Laszlo Papp and Gaspar Ortega, also long years ago. Although there were many fighters whose skills I enjoyed watching.

Well....maybe Emanuel Augustus..... for his underrated skills and pure entertainment showings, as well as his bravery.

We keep saying that "Marquez should at least won by 1 round" doesn't really make sense in 12 rounds of boxing because a fighter needs to be ahead in scorecards by at least 2 rounds to win a boxing match.

6-6 is a draw
7-5 is a close win

8 x 10 = 80
9 x 4 = 36

A total of 116 which the scorecard for rounds won will look like 8-4.

A total of 115 which the scorecard for rounds won will look like 7-5.

Yea, I think I understand how the judges' scorecards work. I think the first round is always given to the champion unless the contender showed a very convincing performance in beating the champ in the first round.

Pacquiao lost plain n simple!!!! Even if u try to use the "judges score aggressiveness" excuse its BS cuz inorder to score it that way it has to be effective aggressiveness. Marquez took all of pacs tools away from him. Pac didnt really wanna exhange cuz he knew he would get countered. Now thats dictating the fight.

Marquez being the challenger should have done more instead Pacquiao the champion clearly carried the fight to Marquez and deserves the win. Case closed Pac by MD as confirmed by CompuBox.
