Nope I'm going to act like I have the 1st time a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight came on the radar, and that's that it would be a fairly one-sided fight in Mayweather's favour.

Just always thought Pacquiao would struggle against an extremely talented defensive fighter who is going to pick his openings very carefully, and wait for his openings. Mayweather's probably the most precise puncher in the sport, even if the shots don't always land with too much venom. Think Mayweather's lateral movement, shoulder rolling from Pacquiao's attacks etc. would make for a mini schooling.

People bag on Mayweather's opposition, but I also think that Pacquiao's career above 130 has been handled like a chess board. Joshua Clottey could have potentially been tricky if he hadn't gone in there with the mentality of a journeymen, just wanting to survive the full 12. Cotto and Margarito were coming off devastating losses. Neither are very defensively astute anyway. He did well against Mosley, but then again you never know which Mosley is going to show up. Marquez just knows how to fight Pacquiao's style, and it's always fun to watch. De La Hoya just looked ill even before the 1st bell. Now I know you can pick apart any record, but I just didn't see anyone above 130 who Pacquiao has fought having a tricky style.

I won't bag too much on either fighter, they've both achieved a lot in this sport, that's just an honest assessment.

We're gonna act like Pac didn't demolish guys Floyd was scared to fight? (Cotto, Maragarito).

We're gonna act like Pacquiao didn't knock out MAB, crush him again, knock out Morales twice, make De la Hoya and Hatton look like they've never stepped foot in a ring before (and sent them in to retirement), make Cotto and Marg look like rag dolls, knock down and dominate Mosley, etc.?

We're gonna act like Pacquiao has just been cherry picking fighters, hand picking opponents or whatever.. BUT NOT MAYWEATHER?

We're gonna act like the ONE guy, a HOF'er and top P4P fighter currently that's proven to be his kryptonite, and is perfectly suited to neutralize Pac's style arguably beating him means that everything Pacquiao has done means NOTHING?!

Seriously when I came to Boxingscene I was expecting to see intelligent unbiased posts from people that know Boxing, for the most part.

Instead all I see is people with blatant Manny hate even more so then Floyd hate. You guys leaving Pacquiao off top 5, top 10, even top 15 lists now?! Are you ****ing kidding me? You need to never form another opinion pertaining to boxing for that blasphemy. You guys don't realize that you're just as bad if not worse then some of these clueless *******s.

I know most of you guys used to be Pac fans before this whole thing blew up too. And I can see how annoying it can get watching some of these *******s spew out some utter nonsense (some guys in the live thread had it 12-0 and 10-2 for Pacquiao?!) here and there but to discredit Pacquiao and everything he's done? C'mon...

And to call out Pacquiao for **** but letting everything for Mayweather slide?
      The bias is sickening.
Boxing fans are one giant reactionary angry mob.

I was let down too, doesn't mean that because the one guy that will forever give him trouble neutralized him the way he did Pac is automatically a hype job. If Pac fights another skilled technical boxer and still has a problem like he did the other night then you can have a valid point. But it's 1 fight, calm down.

Fair enough, need more posts like this and less blatant bias and hate.

He's not overhyped, he's just going to struggle with certain styles like any fighter. I think Mayweather would completely outbox him though.

Again, Pacquiao has been a hype job for 3 years. This fight didn't start it but it definitely didn't help.

replying to the closed thread. He's agreed to the test dummy, how are people here still so clueless on the facts? He initially declined during the 1st round of negotiations but it's common knowledge he's agreed and has even ****ing said it. So what's Mayweather's excuse now?
