Manny was outclassed an everyone knows he lost that fight. I'm tired of hearing that you have to take the belt from the champion. That's not how it is, it's a simple scoring system based on rounds won. It should not matter who the champion is...somewhere on twitter someone said that the Mavericks won't get a 10 point lead to start every NBA game just because they r the champions.

I would like to see Marquez in the ring again but I also don't want to see him get robbed again. I was amazed on how many current-former boxers and experts had Marquez winning this fight and wonder what fight was the judge that had it 116-112 for Pacquiao was watching.

Pacquiao will probably go back to fighting bums like he usually does. Manny was exposed for the fraud that he is and we all know who the real P4P best is.
Its an excuse and it always been an excuse

You either won the fight or u didn't. And this fight wasn't even based on no damn championship

      • PAC training the way he should be should hopefully 'win' the rematch. Lol at fools saying no rematch. Jmm gets another payday... they are scared that jmm will get defeated.

The judges, who have the best seat in the house saw that and gave it to Pacquiao, altho 116-112 is ****** score...115-113 is better altho i had it 116-114.
this is one of the best posts in this thread and not 1 person has quoted/commented on it. I am not a '*******' and through the fight i actually found myself wanting pac to lose but i still unbiasedly scored the fight 115-113 Pac. I was really hoping for a draw, reguardless of how i had judged the fight myself bc i think JMM kinda deserved it for blowing away most everyones expectations.
& for the record, i had JMM winning both their first 2 fights

i kinda agree, the only thing is, i honestly dont think Pac can even make that weight anymore. He was cut shreaded and came in @ 142(i think) on friday, and then still looked just as cut and rehydrated to 148. For him to make 135 he would almost definitly have to burn off muscle. Maybe make it 142? haha, JMM did come in on fight night at a surprising 150

In order to create some real interest and dispell rumors of a 'fix' how about this.... have the fight in Mexico.

They could fill one of their 100,000 capacity soccer stadiums in 2 days. Get some new judges from countries not named USA, Mexico, or the Philippines. That way no one can say the crowd will be in Pacquiao's favor and the judges will be neutral. If Pacquiao wins in controversial fashion again, there'd be a damn riot... probably the same if he wins by KO

That would help to create intrigue and interest IMO. Don't do the played out Vegas, same ol 24/7 thing. Add a new wrinkle to the story, make it worthwhile for the fans to invest more money into this thing.

But most of all, no 6 month wait. Manny's only got a few fights left, no time to waste.
          good concept

i am 1 of the few it sounds like who is not against an immediate rematch. JMM has already put in the work for his weight and now he has the time to even cut some of his body fat to get even faster if he chooses to. If theres going to be a rematch at all i think it should be both of their next fight. If JMM doesnt retire he might go back down to LW and potentially loose some of him lean mass doing so, just to try to gain it back later if a rematch down the road happens.

          • sorta put's his "I won't be surprised if Manny knocks him out in 1".

I don't understand why if Ariza & Roach weren't happy about Manny's leg cramp against Mosley why wouldn't they correct that situation for this fight?

Why can't a fighter just come out and say "I didn't perform" that's it. Always come out with excuses.

            • ouchies

Seriously whos this clown talking about toes getting stepped on... Now all of a sudden pacquiao is having marital issues and leg cramps.. This was his best camp, not even God himself could help Marquez, that was Ariza's comment on 24/7.. What a joke.. never before has there been a fourth fight when one of the opponents has yet to win , nuff said.. True boxing afficionados know who won.

The leg cramps will unlikely be corrected until Mayweather fights Pacquiao. Team Mayweather will go to such lengths to duck Pacquiao, so Team Pacquiao is dangling candy in front of Mayweather.

                • Well I won't pay for it. Marquez won pretty easy and they are trying their hardest to convince us it was close. The fight was'nt really good though. Marquez's performance was good but thats it. I don't want to pay for another obvious outcome. Top Rank has done this quite abit lately. Bob Arum still thinks people are going to fall for his fixed fight BS! We in the boxing community are looking to move away from the past with all the bad decisions and crooked judging. Top Rank is still showing their true colours. They don't have any intention to clean up the sport because they are what's wrong with the sport.
