i get you uglypug, and i'm not saying there was nothing in pac's performances'. i just don't see the point in a jmm rematch after pac has fought floyd. i'm a pac fan but i'm convinced floyd handles pac with ease....so don;t see why JMM would fight him after that.

    but you never know....

i know i shouldn't waste my time responding and causing unwanted wear and tear to my finger nails, but as an outsider looking in, i'd say you were the one that never attended school. i'd say your IQ was equal to or less than the amount of times JMM has been robbed.

for those of you that are screaming robbery or that jmm won, let’s break it down…
based on total punches landed, paquaio won 9 rounds to jmm ‘s 3 …that’s giving jmm the rounds that were even, rounds 3 and 9

based on jabs landed, pacquaio won 8 rounds to jmm’s 4….again, thats giving jmm the round that was even, round 8

the most effective punches, the power punches….
Based on power punches landed, pacquaio won 8 rounds to jmm’s 4….no even rounds there…
Well, since you Pac fans and Floyd haters are using Compubox now to make your case for Pacquiao winning, don't even try to say that Floyd even lost 1 round against Ortiz. Even the 2nd, Ortiz' best round, Mayweather out landed him 13-8 in power punches. So, if you are finally deciding to go the compubox route, than don't b*tch when Floyd dominates most all of his opponents on that. The only guy to ever out-punch Floyd in a fight was Casatillo in the first fight, but most ringside observers had him winning the first 5 rounds of that fight, so I understand how Floyd got the decision. That was a close fight as well, same as all the Pac-Marquez fights.

If I had to score each fight watching them over and over, here's how I scored them.

Pac-Marquez I: 113-113. Pacquiao knocked him down 3 times in the first, making a wide margin, but Marquez flat out won more rounds in that fight watching it.

Pac-Marquez II: 114-113 Marquez. Pac knocked him down once in the fight, but again, I think Marquez just won more rounds slightly.

Pac-Marquez III: 114-114. I saw an even fight, and I went back and watched it twice again.

All fights could have gone either way. The first fight, there were 2-3 rounds that could have been scored either way. The 2nd fight, there were still a couple rounds that could have gone either way. The 3rd, there were also 2-3 rounds that could have gone either way. Something that forced me to score it a draw was the first round of the fight, I scored it for Marquez. Neither guy did much, Pac was the agressor, but it wasn't that effective of agression the first round, and Marquez avoided Pac's punches well and countered a couple times. So, I gave the first to JMM, which eventually made it even on my card.

All 3 fights could have gone either way.

You Pac fans all claim it's about winning rounds though, and when I watched Mayweather-Castillo 1 live back in 02', most people seemed to have Floyd winning the first 5 rounds, and Castillo really started to come on the second half the fight, out punching Floyd. It's no surprise that, after winning the first 4-5 rounds, he got a UD.

However, unlike your boy Pacquiao, Floyd rematched a prime Castillo immediately and won a UD again, that time no controversy. While Pacquiao, waited 4 years to fight JMM the 2nd time and another 3 1/2 years the 3rd time.

I guess just out of respect for Marquez - give him another shot. . . also for the fans - to see if one of the other can FINALLY win the fight clearly and convincingly, beyond the shadow of a reasonable doubt. . . i don't think either has done so yet. . . marquez should have won, but it's not like you can't make a reasonable case for a draw, or MAYBE even a very close pacquiao decision. . . the latter is pushing it, but I still say the way boxing is scored make it possible to be justified. . . 4 rounds were very close. 5 were definite marquez rounds, and 3 were pac rounds.

I'd love to see Pac fight Marquez one more time. This is already a rivalry that's going to go down in history as one of the best. I scored Pac as winning the fight. But I wouldn't go as far to say that Pac is the better fighter. Their styles are tailor made for each other, they're like Yin and Yang.

Manny especially wanted to make a 'statement' aka shut him up once and for all.

All they did was produce the possibility of Marquez having to spend his hard earned money on producing more shirts saying 'I beat Pacquiao 3 times', perhaps with more colors this time - this time however you'll have more people buying it. Comprehende?
Still doesn't explain how it supposedly silenced Pacquaio fans. Most of the hardcore fans I know thought it would be a highly competitive fight. I know as I was arguing against them saying it would be a blowout.

Did it create more controversy? Absolutely and this was something I point out in the reply you failed to quote in your flaming response to mines.

I'm really not in a mood to two way trolls. Manny is 2-0-1 and should be 3-0 and while it didn't end in a decisive manner, which is a cause for disappointment, Manny edge him by two rounds in a highly competitive fight.
