Face Off Cotto - Margarito - Opinions

Cotto should have pulled a Drago. "If he dies, he dies." He looks very confident that Margarito cheated and he is going to beat his ass this time.
Cannot wait for this fight. It comes down to one thing. Come the sixth round or so, will Margarito be coming forward every bit as intensely as he did the first time? And if he is, can Cotto handle it? What will run through Cotto's head if Margarito's punches feel no different and the fight is playing out the same way?Comment

Very interesting face off.
one of the best I have seen.
I think Margarito comes off a lot better with his willing to die attitude.
Cotto doesn't seem like a natural boxer, doesn't seem to have the same mindset. Thinking about his family and it being only a job.
Cotto seems to have accepted the defeat but I think he belives 100% that Margarito used plaster against him. This could be dangerous for Miguel. If Margarito still has the same pop in his punches as the first time they met then he is going to crumble. Even if he believes his punches are slightly weaker than the first fight he still has to deal with Margarito coming at him relentlessly, something which caused his downfall in their first fight.
I can't wait for this fight. I know both fighters have seen better days but this fight is filled with anger and hate. Both men have a lot to gain and both have a lot to lose.
You've never been to the ring obviously. Pro boxing is a business, and money can be enough determination - it's not cool to be a tough mother****er, if you can't box. There's ALOT of tough gatekeepers out there, who's just as good as Margarito, who just didn't get the shot.
You think it's some special mindset, that you have to be a killermachine. Go watch UFC.Comment

Man you're ****** with that comment. Yes he's a family man, but that thing with Margarito being willing to die in the ring - he's not.

If Margarito punches still feel as hard as last time, Cotto will being thinking about the first fight all over again.
A lot of gatekeepers as good as Margarito? Please name them. I think you are seriously underrating Tony.
It is a special mindset being willing to take punishment time after time. The Mexican fighters seem too all have that mentality. Ortiz is mentally weak and that was shown. When getting punished against Maidana he quit because "he didn't deserve this".

I'm much more of a Cotto fan, than a Margarito fan, but Margs came off better in this face off. He's very convincing when he says he's willing to die in the ring, if need be, and given his past fight history ; you believe it.
I'll be pulling for Cotto in the rematch, but he better hope Margarito DID load his gloves in the first fight. Because if not, when Tony starts cranking up the pressure again in this rematch, and hitting him cleanly, if those punches feel the same, he'll be thinking he should have STFU.Comment

I am saying Cotto is mentally strong enough to be his OWN MAN and NOT worry about impressing bitter ass, corona sippin losers in Tiajuana. How weak do you have to be to wanna impress people to the point of risking your life???
This WEAKNESS is why so many people are walking around with their pants around their knees etc... trying too hard to be accepted.
Cotto doesn't give a fack about impressing YOU at the expense of his family.
