One thing that you can't deny Lacy is that his reputation had Calzaghe ducking him for over a year.Calzaghe had to be pushed into a fight with Lacy after trying to pull out time and time again with some lame injury excuse.

I must admit I fell for the hype big time, but so did 90% of boxingscene at that time when Lacy seemed like a beast but its funny how the Calzaghe nuthuggers are bumping threads from 5 years BACK, the thread was created in 2005 when I joined Boxingscene, it is 2010 now people

For the record some haters dont give Joe credit but I have always given credit and respect to Calzaghe for the Lacy and Kessler wins, at that time they seemed like very good wins to me but now they seem like decent wins because lacy and kessler didn't do much later on to prove themselves as great fighters. IMO Hopkins is Calzaghe's best win to date.
