de la hoya is just saying that because pac ****d him. Styles make fights and mayweather and marquez although counter punchers fight diffrently and we would have to see. I think pac thought he had marquez figured out and was not as mentally sharp as he could have been. I don't think that would happen when floyd pac fight. mayweather is not as good as marquez when may gets crowded.

Im telling you guys - PLEASE DO NOT think Manny/Mayweather is a given. . . Mayweather IS NOT marquez! Yes, he shut him out, but he's a different style than marquez! Marquez brings his own sets of problems to Manny, UNIQUE to his specific style - which is a blend of offensive aggression behind the jab and combinations, along with timing counter punches. . . Floyd fought how many rounds with Hatton, and Manny did what to Hatton. Oscar looked like what with Floyd and Manny did what to Oscar?? So don't claim somebodys superiority over another by what they did with common opponents. Tell Floyd to grow a pair and get in the ring with Pacquiao and let's see. Cotto, Margarito, Clottey, Mosley, Oscar, Hatton, Marquez, even Amir Khan in training camp ALL had the balls to get in the ring with Pacquiao, and for $50M, Floyd is STILL afraid the get in the ring with Manny! What a *****!!!!! All those others got in the ring with Pacquiao for a LOT less than $50M! So don't talk about how Floyd is more superior! Floyd is a weasel!

I dont think it can be argued that Mayweather is light years better than JMM and Pac for that matter.

He would beat him pretty damn easy.

Pac fans are just having a tough time accepting this. They know it, but pride is really shutting down their logic and reasoning. I forgive them. In due time they will either accept it or hit a brick wall come May 5th.

I don't think this is a triangle theory. Since Mayweather is even more technical than Marquez, Pac would have trouble. Pacquiao doesn't have the patience to fight a defensive fighter. That's what we saw last night. JMM let Pac bring the fight to him and caught him with counters over and over again. Hopefully we'll get to see these 2 finally get in the ring in May.

The fact that Mayweather was criticized for even fighting JMM is an indicator that subconsciously people know he's on another level.

Marquez does nothing better than Mayweather my man, and that's the point. Mayweather is bigger, faster, and stronger than Marquez and on top of that he's more technically sound with much better defense. It will be easier for Mayweather to hit Pacquiao than it was for Marquez, and it'll be harder for Pacquiao to hit Mayweather than it was for him to hit Marquez.
