I have to rewatch the fight and score it round by round to give my final decision but one thing is for sure the Mayweather-Pacquiao mega fight lost a lot of its luster.
Yeah I guess you can make that case, a greener Pac appeared more lively physically against a prime Marquez than he did last night against an older Marquez (same age difference, but being 38 now). Can't help but think of all the people that have said, "Arum is wasting Pacquiao's prime years." Great performance by Marquez, though.

    But still...

I will re-watch the fight, however I thought Pacquiao won by at least 1 or 2 rounds. Again, I should re-watch the match, but it was a draw at the very least imo…no robbery. I wasn’t one of those people that predicted a stoppage, I thought it would go 12, I thought it would be fairly competitive, but it was considerably closer than that. I was never mad at this fight taking place. I’m pleasantly surprised these 2 have given us 3 very entertaining fights. I do wish we got more exchanges after all that “this will be a war” ****, but they were both very hesitant, I suppose 24 rounds of back and forth action will do that to you. Pacquiao made this fight harder than it should’ve been, instead of chasing a guy, he should stand in the middle of the ring and not care what the crowd reaction is. Pacquiao just does not do well chasing a [great] counter puncher. Much props to Marquez for fighting a truly intelligent fight, he knew there was no need to exchange with Pac at this weight, and he boxed him very, very well. I wouldn’t mind a 4th fight…but hold that thought, I’ll need to re-watch this 3rd bout later today.

    • People shouldn't be screaming robbery in a fight like this. It was a close fight with close rounds. I think a lot of people got caught up in Marquez being the underdog and gave him more credit than he should have gotten, which makes the decision look worse than it is. I personally had Pacquiao eking it out. Marquez just knows how to fight him.

      • A classic boxer vs. aggressor fight. Marquez counter punched. Marquez threw combination. Marquez showed ring generalship. He controlled the pace and had it his way the whole fight. Pacquiao, a brawler and agressive fighter who shocked the world with his power could not even stun his opponent.

I thought the 114-114 was a very generous card for Pacquiao clearly giving him the benefit of the doubt on several rounds. The 116-112 card was a disgrace. Interestingly enough, this judge was the only one who scored the final round for Marquez and had the other judges done the same it would have ended in a draw.

I genuinely think that Marquez was the cleaqr winner. I hear what you're saying about getting caught up in the hype of the underdog but the same can be said about getting caught up with Pac being the favourite & expected to win. In my opinion Marquez was robbed but regardless of results all 3 fights have been great & I love both fighters & have followed both their careers before & after their fights & I will continue to

Couldn't believe when the 1st card was read out as a draw I thought what fight was he watching but I honestly do not know how 2 professional boxing judges can see that as a Pac win! I love both fighters but it was clearly a Marquez victory. I feel really sorry for Marquez. He waits 4 years for the 2nd fight & I thought he won by 2 points but was close then waits another 3 years till he's 38 & fighting well above what is perceived as his best weight & puts in, in my opinion the performance of his career only for 3 ****head judes to take it away from him. I love both fighters but for this trilogy to go down as a draw & 2 wins for Pac is a disgrace. Bring on fight 4! Can't see it happening though

I agree but the thing is now all the folks who were saying Pac would dominate Floyd will probably change their minds and Floyd will probably be the betting favorite if they fight. Too bad because I was counting on anywhere from 3/1 up to 6 or 7/1 odds favoring Pac when they fought and I was planning to bet a whole lot of Vegas money and clean up because I already knew what others are now finding out and that is, no way Pacman beats Floyd Mayweather. Love him or hate him you gotta give the man his due. He is the best defensive fighter(Notice how Ortiz got frustrated when he couldn't hit him) in the game and also probably the best counter puncher. Put all that together with when he does get hit on rare occasions he takes a solid punch and never blinks. Case in point, the 2nd round in the Mosley fight when Mosley landed 2 hard rights in the middle of the round. By the end of the round Floyd was back in control chasing Mosley all over the ring. Yes folks, Floyd is too big, too fast and too clever to get beaten by PacMan.

              • Money,Money and Money... can´t y´all see?

HBO couldn t let pacquiao lose, cause of the amount of money they will generate, if the bout mayweather-pacquiao happen.

The way the fight ended (perhaps intentionally?!?) will convince mayweather to do the fight!!!

                although i m a huge pacquiao-fan, i think the result wasn´t fair at all.

boxing was, is and will be corrupt.

                • Ok ladies and gentlemen you all witnessed Pac get schooled by a LW. I have without a doubt, Pac will be completely and utterly embarrassed by Floyd Mayweather.

I over rated Pac (like MANY), that's what I get for being a *******. JMM looked slow but was still effective enough to win rounds with countering and those right hands. I had it even but could have easily said Pac won. I haven't had time to watch it again but the 30 some people I watched it with screamed in out rage after the fact that Pac won. Most where not even boxing fans but MMA fans. I was the only one who scored it even and saying Pac could have won and I was satisfied with the outcome. Pac won and I'm gald because if he didn't no Mayweather fight. I hope Bob doesn't decide to duck Mayweather (again) after Pac's performance (who had the best training).

However, JMM was slow, and looked very sloppy at times but still adjusted. As did Pac (sloppy). This proves beyond a doubt WHY Mayweather will completely school Pac who was confused and frustrated and looked lost and beaten. JMM is a warrior and as a LW moved up and schooled Pac but just couldn't keep up with the more active fighter in Pac in the later rounds. Its ironic some of these clowns saying Pac won because he threw and landed more... (funny) as this is what JMM did in his prvious fight.

I called it a victory in its own for the fact JMM NEVER hit the canvas. This just displays how complete and UTTER **** Pacs hand selected POS in house Top rank BUMS that have been put in front of him... Nobody can say Mayweather will call out Pac now because of how **** Pac looked, as Mayweather called out Pac last week. We all heard Pac mumble when they asked him about Floyd's challenge for May 5th.

                    • Also, if JMM hurt Pac with counter punching. Floyd Mayweather kO's Pac just like he did Hatton. Pac will walk right into a right hand just like he did last night. Pac is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY over rated and that is my fault for being a *******, like many on here. I expect MANY MANY MANY people to jump ship and agree that Mayweather will put a BAD hurtin on Pac.
