if you slow it down punch by punch, rd by rd, it's not as bad as ppl make it out to be.
jmm hit him with the flashier punches which got ppl's attention but pac DID connect too. actually more than jmm.
it was a very cloooooooose fight.
You and Castor_Troy are hilarious. Like two small naive children running around the mall trying to convince the adults around them that the world is flat.
If you want to base it on the god given gift of Compubox then we don't need judges. Marquez clearly landed the better, more crisp and more accurate shots. A draw I can live with, with the champion getting the benefit of the doubt. But when I heard 116-112, its like really?
Pac's aggression was not effective at all, and people act like Pac could've done the same and counter like Marquez but he did it for the 'fans'. No, Pac could never counter like Marquez same goes with Marquez fighting aggressively like Pac. And no, its not 'easier' to fighting like Marquez than it is to be aggressive. Ask Mosley and his attempts to counter against Pac.
I didnt flat out score it but I was still pretty much counting up rounds and off the top I had JMM winning anywhere from 8-10 rounds. Ill have to rewatch it. I watched the Primetime feed so this time I will watch HBO but Im not some rookie who is influnced by commentators.
Im not biased either. I like all styles of boxing but I do give pure boxers way more credit than other guys give them. I think they get punished at times when it comes to judging because people wanna see brawls & wars. With that being said, I thought Pac won both of the first 2 fights by 1 point but from what I saw this time, I thought JMM clearly won atleast 8 rounds but I have to rewatch it
i'll be waiting for your post if your score haven't changed after rewatching it..
This is exactly what I've been thinking and saying. I take nothing away from JMM, but he needed to be aggressive. No way were they going to give it to him if it went to the scorecards. Brilliant display of countering. I ask everyone who had watched the fight if JMM did enough to take it away and win against the champion? Again, any round considered close is given to the champ. So many intangibles to consider how a fight is judged. Personally, these two are made for each other. No matter how many times these guys fight it's a coin toss.
I still think even if you give the close rounds to Pac, you end up with a draw, not a Pac win. He did not win this fight, so many people around the world cannot be wrong.

Yup, a draw is the more realistic result in this fight..
No No No 100 thousand times if it were a dirty tactic you would have seen Marquez throwing shots as soon as the foot made contact and in all of those replays only one time was he throwing a shot when that happend.
The "Foot stopper" in round twelve clearly shows you what Marquez was aiming for, and that was to get Marquezs left foot outside of Mannys right foot so he can shoot the straight right hand.
what you see in the video here is no foul no cheating its something that happens alot when a lefty fights a righty..
Stop ****ing crying if you really believe Manny won you wouldnt have to come back with excuses about foot tricks, Su****ious water bottles in the corner etc...
Has pacquiao winning based on what? Landing more punches according to compubox an official stat system? Pacquiao wasn't landing **** the whole fight anyone who watches the fight over and over again will see this. Marquez controlled the fight.
