it was too close and really could have gone either way.

roach should have just told manny to stand in the middle of the ring and wait for jmm to come to him.

going after jmm who was clearly just intent on countering him left too many openings and made him look awkward at times.

if jmm doesn't want to engage in the middle of the ring, so be it, keep your title then move on.

      but leg cramps? reaaaalllly?
He should have gone at Marquez like a f***ing whirlwind. He was clearly on another level physically, and that's what I expected Pacquiao to do.

He's too big a p***y now to do that though.

you're not giving jmm enough credit then.

he's really, really good at timing pac and is very capable of hurting him.

going at him like a whirlwind, imho, is a recipe for a sure loss just like tentatively going after him is.

pac should make jmm to come to him.

he's the champ, if jmm doesn't wanna engage, fine, pac keeps the title.

Trying to box Marquez will never work. Pacquiao CAN'T make a counter puncher come at him, it's not something he can do.

Pacquiao nearly stopped a better Marquez than he fought on Saturday just going at him like a whirlwind and using his vast athletic advantages. There were so many points on Saturday where Pacquiao's athletic advantages were so obvious that it pissed me off he wouldn't use them.

He showed so little fire and heart it was sad.

trust me i did the same thing.

if you slow it down punch by punch, rd by rd, it's not as bad as ppl make it out to be.

jmm hit him with the flashier punches which got ppl's attention but pac DID connect too. actually more than jmm.

it was a very cloooooooose fight.

                I just thought about it.

We keep saying that "Marquez should at least won by 1 round" doesn't really make sense in 12 rounds of boxing because a fighter needs to be ahead in scorecards by at least 2 rounds to win a boxing match.

                6-6 is a draw
                7-5 is a close win

                8 x 10 = 80
                9 x 4 = 36

A total of 116 which the scorecard for rounds won will look like 8-4.

A total of 115 which the scorecard for rounds won will look like 7-5.

Yea, I think I understand how the judges' scorecards work. I think the first round is always given to the champion unless the contender showed a very convincing performance in beating the champ in the first round.

Yea, I gotta stop saying "Marquez won at least by 1 round" because it sounds ****** because we are dealing with an even set of numbers.

                  Wtf

Just watched the fight for the first time (was away when it was on live) I gave it Marquez 116 to 110, he won it by a country mile. The whole sport of boxing needs to hang it's head in shame. The only reason Manny (who I admire hugely) won this by the judges scorecards is to keep the Floyd fight alive, too much $ at stake.

I don't much care for Floyd, he is hugely talented but is the epitome of that whole awful bling culture I despise, he also is nothing more than a child grown old. But after watching this fight I really truly hope that Floyd kicks Mannys arse back to the Philipine congress building. Floyd is at least as a boxer (if not as a man) truly legitimate.

Sorry Manny, but you have lost any respect by even trying to claim that you won that fight, you got your arse kicked sunshine.

i didn't say to box and counter him.

i just don't agree that going after him like a whirlwind or even tentatively like he did the other night is gonna work.

i'd just stand there in the middle of the ring and force him to fight.

once he backs up again after we engage, i go back to the middle of the ring again.
