No, he lost the fight by clearly losing 8 rounds to a blown-up, 38 year old lightweight, who supposedly never had a chance.

Forget all that "there was too much pressure on Pac to get a KO" nonsense, only morons believed that hype, anyway. The fact is, he lost 8 rounds, therefore he should have lost the decision. But his popularity, and the cashflow from a possible Mayweather megafight saved his ass.

based on total punches landed, paquaio won 9 rounds to jmm ‘s 3 …that’s giving jmm the rounds that were even, rounds 3 and 9

based on jabs landed, pacquaio won 8 rounds to jmm’s 4….again, thats giving jmm the round that was even, round 8

Marquez won the fight 115-113. At worst it was a draw.

@GoggleMe, actually Pac landed more punches in more rounds than Marquez, but I don't have a problem with people that see the fight the way you do and and to me its respectable prespective, IMHO the fight was close similar than the first two, all rounds were close, it was just differently played (safety/cautious) and I also think most guys decided to give JMM more rounds as they were expecting a blowout from PAC ...

However it does prove a point I brought up in the fact that Manny wasn't given the credit he was suppose to by most scoring the fights due to the prefight expectations.


I noticed Manny landed more punches and was just as effective as Marquez. Alot of Marquez combos and shots were being picked off, but due to people thinking JMM had no chance his actual in ring success was blown outta proportion.

Manny 115-113 and at worse this was a 114-114 draw, but I don't see how Marquez won this, even after watching this three times.

This is why there is no point in a 4th fight, because unless there is a ko, it will be another close fight. Whoever wins will be regarded as a controversial win depending on what fighter you support.

Thats why there is no point in pac giving JMM another rematch. A triology is enough now. Just need one fight with fLOYD.
