just finished watching it. scored it 8-4 to marquez. the rounds were mostly competitive, but marquez clearly won more. round 5 was a masterclass.

Alot of respect to Bombs and other Pac diehards who thought JMM took this one. Personally i thought it wouldn't go past 6 rounds in Manny's favour.

For those citing compubox, it can be misleading. It judges any punch that isn't a jab as a power shot. In pro boxing it's not always about the amount you land, it's about the quality. If a fighter lands 20 power shots without hurting the opponent and conversely they land 5 punches that rock the opponent, they get the nod. It's also about ring generalship. JMM was in control and he was landing the better shots. It's also about who wins the round, not total punches landed. Sometimes compubox is great, other times it isn't indicative of how a fight has played out. It's a system designed for amatuer boxing.....not pro boxing!!!!

agreed. He was more "in control" of the fight and using a pro boxing scoring criteria, i though he won. Manny and his team clearly thought he lost, and were acting like it. You could see it in their eyes and actions.
