  • Pacquaio is worth too much money, to too many people
Since the other decisions were so close, JMM should've been right to think that this was the time to go for the single win which he has more than earned over the trilogy... it's just laughable that a 38 year old, 7-1 underdog was not even given the chance at that.

    • I just recently finished watching an HD replay stream of the fight, and I still think Marquez got robbed. I had him winning by 3 points the first time I watched the fight as it happened live, with one round even.

After watching the HD stream replay, I had it 8-4 Marquez. Not even close, IMO. easily the most one-sided of their three fights, Pacquiao's footwork was impressive as hell, but unfortunately, you can't win a fight with only fancy footwork.

      • This is probably the reason Mayweather doesn't want to fight Pac, because of the biased as **** **** that goes on in HBO boxing, the corrupted people, ******ed scorecards and judging, and ****wagoning and being a ****-rider in general and only shining the spotlight on the "nice humble guy"

        • And I don't think Mayweather-Pac is happening at all.

I'll be happy to eat my words on that when it's signed. But I'm sticking to what I've said for two years now; Arum won't let that fight happen.

I believe that JMM would be unable to win a decision over Pac in any scenario, but that it has more to do with keeping Pac's train rolling, period. Less to do with keeping it on course for a collision with Mayweather's.

            • i didnt see the HBO version, i watched on primetime, but if u think what u say was bad, u shoulda heard amir khan (who was commontating)

After 2 rds he stopped scoring it, but at the end he said Marquez won (before the decision was announced) and that he wanted to fight him.

after the decision was announced. "Close fight, even rds, backtrack blah blah blah"

                    • I didn't care for Pacquiao's footwork flourishes, personally. They were ineffectual. But I saw him land enough and dictate enough in rounds to make it close, at least.
