He's not a very good announcer, but if HBO bows to this ********* group, then that's not going to go over well with potential talent they hope to do business with. When was the last time PETA sponsored a fight? Or the Humane Society? Screw those guys.

I agree with you, what does ****fighting have to do with announcing. In my opinion the same people that watch boxing matches have witnessed atleast one dog fight or **** fight in their life. So I don't think HBO will lose many fight viewers over this...But!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't be said if roy jones never commentated a fight again. he is simply terrible at it. George Foreman was very biased at times, but atleast he could talk and made the commentary colorful. I nominate James Toney as Roy Jones replacement.

If someone is doing something that is still legal, why should they be fired from their job. I dont have an opinion on **** fighting either way, however I would be surprised if its still legal in 10 years. Isnt Louisianna the only state that still permits it?

I did like Jones as a fighter, but cannot say the same for him being a commentator. During the Tarver-Johnson fight I was wondering how long he would stay on.
I think they are using this bird thing only as an excuse to fire him.

If they fire him they should Have Emmanuel Stewart as the commentator. He is not affraid to go against Harold's wack ass card and unlike Merchant he actually has valid points.
