Got to love it when a title holder actually seeks out a challenge. Make it happen.

i think the top guy is lara. . . id say kirkland is number 2 now.
Kirkland hasn't done crap in the division for 2 years either because he was locked up and every fight since then was above 154, and he took a serious L.
Lara, Molina, and vanes are all far more deserving of a number 2 slot for fighters not named champion than Kirkland and Angulo - they hadn't done anything in so long and both have looked like trash upon becoming active again. Angulo has fought 2 rounds in 18months.. Kirkland....we already know whats gone on with him.
Lets keep it 100 fellas... both guys were garbage going into the fight thanks to inactivity and one of them dominated the other. The End. It doesn't sky rocket their rankings.

Kirkland should jump all over this. Fight Bundrage in January/February 2012 and capture the IBF Title, than pursure a fight with either Cotto or Alvarez sometime between May-July 2012.
It would make those potential fights that much bigger. Trout and Martirosyan need a better win at this point to get in with Kirkland.
I'd like to see Lara-Trout, Kirkland-Bundrage, Alvarez-Martirosyan in early 2012 (January-April). Than, I'd like to see the Kirkland-Bundrage winner fight Cotto in the summer, and the Lara-Trout winner fight the Alvarez-Martirosyan winner as well.
Than, who ever comes out of those fights could have a massive showdown in late 2012.
However, this is boxing, it won't happen.
