Not sure what that comment was about. Sounds like he thinks Margo is disgraced and people don't want to see him fight Margo.

        I can't see it.

I see Kirkland winning either by 1st round KO or TKO with-in 5.
lol i might just be speaking off pure fanhood right now. . . when cooler heads prevail i'd probably pick kirkland. . . but he does have an underrated technique on the inside. . . with his short stature and arms he can turn punches over very fast on the inside and can generate good power with very little distance. . . im just still not 100% on kirkland against a guy who thinks in the ring.

James Kirkland is the #1 man at 154. Hes uncrowned. To be the man you gotta beat the man. Angulo was the man before the layoff But he came back and smashed his first opponent and hurt kirkland early. But kirkland showed what fearless warrior he is by going to angulos home turf and showing the heart of a champion But survivng and destroying him the rest of the way. Kirkland is the man thats Why k9 and lara wanna him.

Kirkland probably gets hurt early by running into some crazy shot, then knocks k9 down. Then trashes him until the ref stops it or k9 cant stand anymore. Which will gurantee be within 5-8 rounds. K9 lasts atleast 5 but no more then 8. It will be wild with kirkland punishing him and running into k9s big shots.

i don't know if he was the number one man at 154. . . his most notable win was julio. . . he also got beat by cintron. . . he was without a doubt a top 5 contender, and a VERY VERY dangerous opponent. . .

i think the top guy is lara. . . id say kirkland is number 2 now.

This would be a great fight. Make it happen! Boxing is so political now. K9 is right. Its the promoters that are screwing everything up. We as fans need 1 champion for each weight class and fighting the top contenders no matter who they are promoted by. That's what makes the UFC so much more respectable. Their brand is not more entertaining, its just much easier to relate to as far as who the champions are. Plus, they are forced to fight the #1 contenders. Maybe after Arum and King step down, the sport will become more credible. We have the fighters to make it great. If the networks pick boxing back up, people will get more interested. But as long as HBO and Showtime keep spending the big bucks, I don't see that happening. But there are so many good fights to be made. The fans are starving for them. We need the government or someone to step in and get control of this.

It just sounded like if he was intimidated he would fight cotto if he won but not margs? Doesnt make sense.

K9 is one of the strongest Jr. Middleweights, but that's his best asset, he needs the advantage to win. Kirkland doesn't need the strength advantage over K9 (even though he's possibly stronger) because he would take advantage of K9's lack of inside fighting skills. All K9 does is hold and wrestle on the inside because he doesn't have much skill there. I think Kirkland would grind and stop him.

This would be among the best next steps for Kirkland because he's a fighter that deserves and needs a worldtitle for a bargaining chip, but K9 in the ring is going to be tough. DK asks for the world.
