if freddie would love to see that fight then why not take a little ole test?
and they/we/ evryone is forgetting one thing.........
        still left to prove.......anybody....? hmmm...?
        prove he hiding anything.
why get so angry about it?
ok, look what the great lance armstrong did?
he proved it atleast twice and as many of us know, the tour de france is probably the most gruelling and long drawn out competition in sport.
for this kind of activity an individual would need all the strength he could muster.
back in the sixties, the tour de france was rife with amphetemine abuse among other drugs and it has been stamped out.
given the high profile of certain drug types used at the very elite level of this sport more recently, we would think the powers that be would change the rules and level the playing field.
its already been stated that there are certain drugs that would remain undetected under the current regime by a number of "nutritionists/weight watchers.
what would freddie do if they changed the rules?
"one more fight and done" and thats against marquez.(says freddie)
because he just wont take the test under any circumstances and its not just with fmj.
        it would be with anybody.
finally, statement made on a number of occasions by floyd mayweather: "all he has to do is take the test". period.
take the test and put it to bed before floyd puts freddie in the shadows once more.

          Just a few observations/notes....

First off, I have to agree with all of the guys who have mentioned just how tedious this is getting and has been for a while now. However, even though it feels like this has been dragging on for a lifetime now, it is FAR from over, not only because of how many issues are in the way of negotiations to sign the fight, but also because I think that once they do hammer out an agreement, there will be NUMEROUS road blocks after that, leading to cancellations and renewals, as we've seen with a few "Super-fights" over the last 20 years or so, Lewis Vs Tyson comes to mind. I really do hope I am wrong, but from what I've seen so far from the Pacquiao/Mayweather subject, and from what I've seen for myself from being in boxing for almost 40 years, I do think it's heading that way.

I'm not one of those people who always says "It aint what it used to be" etc, but after taking in the very sad news of Joe Frazier's death this week, it got me thinking of how enormous the fight with Muhammad Ali in 1971 was, an incredibly significant event both in a sporting and social sense. To call it a "Once in a generation" event, is an under statement considering how many extremley rare ingredients were mixed together in Madison Square Garden that night. Even though I understand that it isn't as clear cut as this and not that simple, I still found myself thinking that if something of that magnitude could be organised and settled to appease all of the massive personalities involved in fights such as Ali Vs Frazier in an even more volatile public setting, then Pacquiao Vs Mayweather should be no different.

          I suppose we can dream.

Regarding the issue of common opponents between Manny and Floyd ; seeings as someone brought the Mosley debate into the argument....while everyones opinions always differ, I think it is clear to see that the Shane Mosley who stepped through the ropes against Floyd was a much better representation himself than the one which eventually found its way into the ring with Manny. And let's not forget that Freddie Roach, openly and on record, made comments such as "we won't be going anywhere near Shane Mosley", around late 2009--early 2010.

Manny's no honest guy either because the amount of BS he came up with to initially avoid the test was crazy. Yeah, i know he said he would do it now but what's stopping his dumb ass from signing a contract agreeing to the test and then shipping it to Mayweather? I honestly don't know who sucks more ****, the Mayweather fans or the Manny fans.

I feel your pain and understand but you have to remember a very important detail. In the case of Ali and Frazier, it was outside their hands for a while but both wanted that fight (Ali just couldnt get a license). This is a different circumstance in that its a battle of two primadonna's (one is scared of loosing a 0 and the other is scared of getting caught with PEDs) and neither will budge. Its a matter of won't and not can't in this situation.

Roach: That's not gonna happen!! Floyd is a blatant coward. He will retire 1000 times if he has to in order to avoid Pacman.

                    Freddie

The endless discussion of he said she said has become boring, i concur with those that have pointed that out. I just think that Freddie spends so much time talking about Floyd Mayweather, thats its hard to Believe Manny's camp when they say they do not need Floyd Mayweather. Thats bullsh%t. They need him for headlines such as this one, they need the scope of Mayweather hanging over the PPV this weekend which they seem to be getting. And at the end of the day, they need mayweather to make real money. I know, a 30 million dollar payday is nothing to sneeze at, but, that simply does not compare to the fortune attached to a fight with Mayweather. Mayweather was given 25 million off jump for Ortiz, and then the fight did over a million(although there is a dispute over the number) which puts Floyd in the 40 million dollar range. So right now, with out manny, Floyd is making more money. Floyd has steadily made more money then Manny over the last couple years. I know, Manny is embroiled in a classic Top Rank Slave contract, but thats no fault of Floyds. The truth is, Manny needs Floyd every bit as much as Floyd needs him. Freddie can attempt to minimize floyd, Im alright with that, but I see through it at the same time. It appears that Manny is ok with Random testing pee and blood. It appears that Floyd is finally ready to step up to the plate. It appears that the money team, and top rank, and golden boy, will be able to make this fight. Its the right time, to define this era. Until saturday night however, SHUT THE F^^K up Freddie Roach. Concentrate on the Mexican Warrior that has every intention of cementing his legacy on Saturday. Focus on that. I am sure that I will see 6 or 7 post about Floyd mayweather before Saturday night and none of them will feature actual material fromMayweather. It will be Freddie or Bob Jackin off to Floyds name as usual. Enough already, prove to us that you are better then Marquez, the both of you. Because Juan and Nacho have taken you guys to task two times in a row

... "One of the reasons I never really was so keen on a Mayweather fight which I now truly believe is an easy fight for Pacquiao is because how Manny is going to be tainted by some of the vile things that Mayweather comes out with. Even though he'll be the good guy, God knows what Mayweather is capable of saying. It's one thing to talk about how much better a fighter he is and Manny can't do this or that, but Mayweather, who has no sensibility in this, is capable of insulting the country. The ignorance is so appalling."
