Yeah but they were only separated by a few fights.

I like green. But moral of the story for me:

Winner of tonights super middle weight bout will do to Green what Green did to Jaidon.

    Jeff or Scott.

Man that **** was as brutal as it gets. Bozo good updates I was wondering if he was allright cuz the kid got KTFO. Imo poor kid will never be the same after that, it would be a miracle if he is ever the same in the ring.

A great story would be Curtis Stevens...later in his career...coming out and challenging Green for his fallen comrade and knocking him out in a slugfest.

It would definitely be a compelleing story.

If anyone can come back from this, it's gonna be Jaidon. The kid was special...so old school, wanted to fight the best, fight a lot, it's a damn shame!

That was an absolutely crushing series of punches. Looks like Codrington was actually presenting his jaw to Green near the end.

                  Update:

PRESS RELEASE: In a super middleweight match-up of former Golden Gloves champions, Oklahoma native Allan Green knocked out Jaidon Codrington shortly after the opening bell, on ShoBox: The New Generation. The fight was waved off 18 seconds into the first round as Codrington, unconscious, fell through the ropes. Codrington remained out on the canvas for roughly three minutes before regaining consciousness. Codrington was taken to Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami where initial reports indicated that he had suffered a fractured sixth vertebrae. Doctors have since retracted that diagnosis, according to promoter Lou DiBella, and Codrington was released after neurological tests and CAT scans of the vertebrae came back negative. A full recovery is expected.

I don't think it had anything to do with experience. That could of happened even if it was Codrington with the 15 wins. He just got caught with a good lefthook early which setup the ending.

Now experience would of been a factor if Codrington had been dominated for a few rounds and then knocked out.

it was the first round, had that been the 8th, you could complain, but no ref wants to stop the fight after 5 seconds in the first round
