Clip: Green destroys Codrington in 18 Seconds

For those of you that heard about it but didn't catch it:

Green destroys Codrington in 18 seconds

    Codrington carried out on stretcher

In Miami, Oklahoma, Allan Green destroyed prospect Jaidon Codrington in an absolutely stunning eighteen-second fight between two undefeated super middleweights. Green started swinging from the opening bell and caught Codrington with a left hook that sent him back to the ropes. Green suddenly became relentless, landing dynamite punches and quickly ending the fight with a frighteningly violent left hook that turned Codrington's head around. Codrington was out on his feet even before the final blow, and he fell half way out of the ring, and wound up d****d over the middle rope in a state of unconsciousness. Pandemonium reigned as security failed to keep the ring clear, and medical help was briefly delayed. Finally, Codrington regained consciousness but was carried out on a stretcher with his neck immobilized as a precaution. Codrington showing a fighter's spirit, protesting that he did not want to go out on a stretcher. Green gets the biggest win of his career and improves to 18-0 with 12 KOs, but he tastelessly plugged a local car dealership on the microphone just moments after Codrington was carried out to an ambulance. Codrington falls to 9-1, but his health is the most important thing, and hopefully, he will recover completely and resume his career. source: ShoBox on Showtime

    Update

    Codrington discharged from hospital

After a frightening knockout in Miami, Oklahoma, Jaidon Codrington has been discharged from the hospital and is out of immediate danger. Codrington was diagnosed with a concussion, but according to a DiBella Entertainment executive, a Showtime report that Codrington suffered a broken vertebrae was erroneous. Although it is too early to say if or when Codrington will resume his boxing career, seeing him walk out of the hospital was great news for everyone connected with Codrington, including DiBella Entertainment, a company still dealing with the tragic death of Leavander Johnson in September. Codrington was knocked unconscious by super middleweight Allan Green after just eighteen seconds and he laid unconscious while medical professionals struggled to reach him as the crowded boxing ring descended into chaos.

He was right there, and in regular motion it doesn't look like he did anything wrong. The end sequence happened so fast.

It was 18 seconds. If the fight was stopped any earlier people would be calling robbery. The referee made the right decision.

Yeah I said it a month ago.

Codrington did not belong in the ring with Green. Allan is a starved Elephant...and if he was not a vegetarian he would be a cruiserweight.

                Man v.s. Boy in there.
