      Burns' time isn't yet.

Why would Warren throw him to the wolves when he can make so much more money off him? He'll probably pick up a belt at LW or lose in the process. I can't see him going to LWW and I'd rather be at SFW than LW.

Why are people bothered Burns didn't fight Broner?

I think most people will say yes, and you can understand why, but in truth, no i don’t believe he ducked him. Making SF was genuinely a nightmare for Burns, and I’m sure if Broner comes up to lightweight then the fight will happen.

Broner is high risk, low reward. Why fight him now?

lets have it right, you hadnt even heard of ricky burns 18 months ago so why do you care what he is doing now?

he has just beat katsidis and for my money katsidis has done alot more in this game than broner.

not to mention he cant make 130 anymore.

Yeh Burns passed on Broner but like mentioned above there was good reason. Lets say he beat Broner, Broner would have become overhyped and Burns wouldn't have a name like Katsidas on his record. High risk, low reward. You only have to look at the height and size of Burns to know that must have been hell to boil down to the weight. What Burns has achieved recently has been nothing short of incredible. The dude was fighting bums just a couple of years ago. Remember everyone said he was nuts to move up and fight Katsidas. Now he beat him, Katsidas is a bum and Burns is a ducker? Credit due I think.

                I agree with fish Scotland.

Huge props to Burns. The Kats fight was a more attractoive fight than Broner. A fight with the Amercian would be a boxing match but Burns wanted a war and Kats is already a well known name. Ricky did the right thing by fighting at the weight he is strongest at.

I hope that after Pac beats Marquez Burns gets his chance at the Mexican legend. Burns has already said he is not scared of losing and I reckon he will fight anyone.

Blatantly and shamelessly. I never knew they taught duck in Scotland.

I think he did but if he was struggling to make the weight a knockout could have been on the cards like khan v prescott... the question is however will broner duck Gamboa if he moves up?
