I can see where you going with this though. If Cotto wins by any chance you want to credit him with the biggest PR/Mex fight ever.

Yup, thats exactly where he was going with this! The biggest fights in the MEX/PR rivalry are Sanchez vs Gomez and DLH vs Tito and we won both fights regardless of what corruption went on with the scoring in the DLH vs Tito fight.

Sanchez vs Gomez and DLH vs Tito were huge and had alot of hype. Trinidad vs Vargas wasnt that far behind. Tito vs Yori boy, Chavez vs Camacho, Chavez vs Rosario, Gomez vs Zarate, Gomez vs Pintor are ones we cant forget and move around in a top 10 list.

If you put it in perspective? Hell no

Are you trying to hype the fight?

              Oscar/Tito - Maybe probably yes
Tito/Vargas - Vargas is not Mexican but even if he was not as big
Segura/Calderon - What? Calderon was past prime and that fight was no big deal
              Chavez/Camacho - No way
Chavez/Rosario - Big fight but not as important
              Sanchez/Gomez - Big fight
              Zarate/Gomez - no
              Pintor/Gomez - Love this fight

The only fights you can make a case for being bigger than Cotto-Margarito II are Sanchez-Gomez and Trinidad-De La Hoya. I have no problem if those are bigger but the rest don't come close because of the rivalry and controversy.

I cannot believe you just said no to Zarate/Gomez. LMFAO!!!!!! WOW!!!!!

Trying to downplay them all ain't you.

Besides majority of those in the fights are mentioned are true HOFs unlike Cotto/Margarito.

That list he gave you is a pretty good list. I'd also add Tito vs Yori Boy Campas. But I'm curious, what is exactly the question, biggest hype, best fight turnout, most PPV sales?

Again Gomez-Zarate big fight but is not bigger than Cotto-Margarito II. People still don't get how huge this fight is. You going to the fight right? When you step foot on MSG on that night you will remember this thread. This rematch means a lot and I mean a lot.

Look at the top 3 best PR fighters.

Did Wilfred Benitez got the chance to avenge his first defeat against ray Leonard?

Did Wilfredo Gomez got the chance to avenge his first defeat against Salvador Sanchez?

Did Felix Trinidad got the chance to avenge his first defeat against Bernard Hopkins?

                    This is a big deal.
