bull****...when you have a guy like heredia talking about how easily they can beat olympic testers no athlete can claim he is clean even if he takes the test. who knows floyd has already hooked up with a guy like heredia that's why he's confident in taking the test. and besides, floyd's kind of testing is just a half-assed ost with testing done around 2 months before the fight. they don't even test him close to the fight. and he always takes long vacations in between fights with no testing for what?

now don't get me wrong...i'm not hating on floyd. i'm simply saying taking the test does not guarantee anything and does not take away the su****ion from anybody. of course it's worse for athletes who are not taking extra testing but for fans to claim a certain athlete is clean just because he is taking the test is ridiculous. it's ok to take the test if you know how to beat it.

Ariza is fuming mad right now. Heredia will surely take all his shine now from here on out.
They're already juicing heavy in boxing. Outside of track and field and the NFL, I doubt there is a sport filled with as many juicers at the high level as this one. Come on, our tests are child's play. You don't even have to try . A dear friend of mine, who managed several heavyweights and has been tight in the game for nearly 40 years, once told me that he couldn't think of more than one heavyweight contender who wasn't juicing. It's a dirty game and, as I've said before, wouldn't shock me if Floyd was or is juicing as well. In boxing it's always over the top.

This just goes back to what I have been saying several times. Make them all ***ing legal to solve the problem. The folks that manufacture juice are for the most part 7 to 10 yrs ahead of all the testing protocals. I am a bodybuilder I'm exposed to this shi t almost everyday. I will once again drop the names of the people I believe are on something... B-Hop, Sergio Martinez, Pacman, Money May. Like I said before they should make it legal that is the only way to avoid having it as an issue they are here to stay.

Ain't it hilarious that guys are bringing up Manny when MARQUEZ'S coach is telling us he knows how to engineer substances that no test can detect? And now Marquez is bulked up, exploding speed bags, and destroying sparring partners (even KO'ed a 140 lber in 1 round).

But the REAL question that should be brought up is- how are guys like Heredia/Hernandez/Memo/Whatever and Conte allowed to work openly with top boxers like Marquez and Donaire given their pasts?

Speaks very negatively about Boxing as an institution that criminals can be paid handsomely to be 'strength and conditioning' coaches for lb for lb champions while bragging about being able to dope athletes without being caught. This would NEVER happen in the NFL, NBA, MLB, etc. Can you imagine the uproar if the Dallas Cowboys or LA Lakers hired Heredia or Conte as team trainers? The respective leagues wouldn't allow it, the media would destroy those organizations, and I wouldn't be surprised if Congress got involved.

But the no man's land wild west that is boxing allows this to go on?

The sport is sick and needs to be reorganized from top to bottom.

Wow! And no one in this thread is screaming for JMM to "take the test". If Heredia was Pac's trainer, people would be asking for blood, literally.

I will say this in defense of the boxers though that it is not as clear-cut a situation as Hernandez would tell you. I'm quite certain that the following boxers would have been accused of PEDs (which did not exist at the time):

It's far from impossible to get in shape naturally. Some just wish to have that "edge" however. Obviously PEDs aren't really designed for looks either. It just seems that the judgment gets passed onto those who look the part far more heavily than those who don't.

Of course. Marquez has just leveled the playing field. Sucks yes.
