Maybe he could have said "I would like to extend the offer to pay for the funeral services" and it wouldn't have come off as bad to some people.

Also, why are half of you acting like it's some huge shock that Mayweather likes attention? It's not exactly ground breaking stuff.

I like Mayweather a lot as a fighter, I'm a huge fan. I don't know him personally though. Don't know Bob Arum personally either, but I do know know to not necessarily believe the things that he says in the media because he's been proven to be untrustworthy. You've never seen me say that I personally like or dislike any of these people. I'm adult, not a childish immature "fan" who doesn't understand how the real world works. Look son, you can choose to like or dislike anyone that you choose based on anything that you choose. I'm just saying that your judgemental attitude is silly and irrational. You don't know the real Floyd Mayweather JR., all you know is the prize-fighter that you see in the media. If you were to ever meet and get to know the real guy, I guarantee that you'd find out that there's a lot more to him than what you've seen in the media, for better or for worse. That doesn't just go for Mayweather, that goes for any famous public figure.
