One of the many reasons why Floyd is disliked by many

I don't believe Floyd Jr. would be so low as to do that.
I think he had a genuine desire to help the Fraziers, and
it should be appreciated as that. I just have to believe
that the Fraziers had already accepted Floyd's kind offer,
before he announced it.
I think he could have handled publicizing the fact with
more concern for the Fraziers' dignity, but *shrug* we
all make mistakes.
i really hope he did. who knows joe took a funeral insurance for himself when he was still alive so that part has already been taken care of. anybody can still give financial assistance of course and it's always a good deed for people to do that. the criticisms about floyd is not his act of giving financial assistance but the way he announced it on twitter. and i don't blame the critics because for me personally, if i'm going to use my personal standards, i will never do such thing (the twitter announcement).Comment

Really, the only thing that made me squirm a little was "the Money Team" being what he said. To criticize him so much for announcing it on Twitter is insane, it's just Floyd being Floyd. I would be very surprised if there was the least bit of self promotion involved. He wants to help with someone he almost certainly knows a lot about, as someone raised in boxing and with a father and uncle that were young men when Frazier was at his highest level of fame.
This is how Floyd wants to help. With so many things you can justly criticize Mayweather for, why do so here? Focus on remembering Frazier and get over it if you don't like it.Comment

I've disliked Mayweather since his "slave wages" comments and accusations the the HBO broadcast team were racist. Since that time he has done many things for me to confirm that dislike and now he's topped it off with a cherry. I the wake of Joe Frazier's passing Floyd couldn't just say some kind words and leave his condolences, he had to try and interject himself into the limelight by saying "My condolences go out to the family of the late great Joe Frazier. The Money team will pay for his funeral." What kind off jerk off does this? If you want to do a good deed than do it. Don't announce it hoping to get some recognition when the hour is squarely about Frazier and his family. This kid has no class whatsoever.Comment

No, thats not what we are saying. Nobody is hating Floyd for the gesture, it is an extremely generous thing for him to have done. Joe Frazier was dead less than 12 hours when this tweet came up. It didnt sit well with me, thats all.Comment

There's a lot of people on here that are some b**ches, like seriously. Y'all some female tendency having muh****as
Like seriously some of y'all got estrogen flowing through your veins. Y'all know who y'all are and posters here know who they are as wellComment

Maybe the family is proud and doesn't want the whole world to know that they can't afford to pay for a good funeral themselves and that "Team Money" will take care of it. Did they even agree to this? Did he ask them before announcing it? Maybe they don't even want his money?
Ever think of it from that point of view?
It's the headache that goes with signing checks, and filling out paper work in a time of grief.Comment
