Let me explain something to you since you are a Bob Arum Zombie and cannot think for yourself.

Floyd reserved the spot at the MGM for May 5th so nobody does`nt take that date.Floyd is not the only one that fights in Vegas,He does`nt know if Pacroids is serious about taking the test,so just in case the fight is`nt made Floyd could go for another opponent on May 5th at the MGM.It does`nt mean that Floyd would`nt consider another arena if the money that`s offered is better then the the MGM.

They may have already approached other venues and said hey this is the deal we want, and MGM may have been the only ones to oblige. If so he could still make more money going to MGM vs say cowboys stadium if jerry jones isn't willing to give him the profit off of popcorn sales.

Note: Of course im using popcorn as just an arbitrary example but it could be anything
You are wrong. Mayweather has NO promotions, nor has he ever had. He does not have a promoter's licence and has NEVER applied for one. This info comes from the Nevada State Athletic Commission. As for the MGM date it is most likely, in fact, almost certainly a casual comment to them that he "may" be fighting there on that day, if it's available, and he'll let them know before their-MGM's-own deadline. It's likely nothing more than that. AND, this would have to be cleared and arranged with Golden Balls who does Mayweather's promotions for him anyway. And he couldn't mess them around too much because he needs them a lot, and they have their own schedules. I don't think that they would positively book- and it would have to be Golden Balls doing the booking and guaranteeing, before they had at least 3-4 likely and available opponents to chose from. these things, because of logistics and training times, need to be done, months in advance. Otherwise you have the famous "taken the fight on short notice".............

There were nearly 4000 empty seats and they gave away nearly a couple of thousand comps as well. Also, they have a habit of just paying the Nevada State ticket tax and it is then counted in the "statistics" as a seat sale. Don't know if they can do the same for the PPV tax, why not?

It was an arena flop, no matter what it is supposed to have done on PPV.

How in the world are people still defending Arum and Team Pac???

They have never publicly said what they do or don't agree to in terms of testing. The only definite thing we have heard was from Koncz, where he said "Manny never agreed to do any testing within 14 days of the fight". THAT'S IT. We have Ariza saying they aren't going to do what Floyd wants, and we have Arum saying it's a non-issue, and then Pac can never seem to speak english that well when he is questioned about it....c'mon man!

Floyd made a statement saying his next fight is on Cinco De Mayo 2012 and that he intends to fight Pacquiao. Schaefer confirmed that Floyd is returning in May, and that he is pushing to make the Pacquiao fight, but hopes that Arum wants to as well.....Meanwhile, all we hear from Pac's camp is "Mayweather isn't being serious. He's trying to take the spotlight off of Pacquiao. It's a sick joke. he's actually fighting Morales next." These people are getting desperate.

Pac, if you have really agreed to testing without a cutoff date, say it after your Marquez fight this saturday during the post-fight interview, or at the very least just release a statement saying EXACTLY what you agree to do or not do. Floyd is basically saying, "If you agree, I have a date and venue, let's get it on". But all Team Pac can say is "Mayweather isn't serious".

"Reaction to Golden Boy's announced buyrate figure of 1.25 million for the Mayweather vs. Victor Ortiz pay-per-view, which took place in September.

I don't believe a word that they say. Now if HBO had come out, like they always do, and said that that fight did an x-amount number of buys, with a little exaggeration you can take it to the bank. But they wouldn't come out and give a number."

And we suppose believe you Bob Arum? Why not give Manny number too?

And Bob weren't you the one who put the clock on your website to serve as a deadline for Pac-May? That of all things tells me you're not serious.

I sitll think FLoyds is full of **** on fighting Pac. This will be one of the biggest fights in boxing. If FLoyd was serious he would have just contatced MAnny and made it happen and until that is done he will never satisfy the fans. He always be know as the one Ducking.

IF he was that serious about Pac why didn't he call him out at the end of the Ortiz fight instead going all emo like he did.
they would have fought already if pacroids would have taken the test in 2010.. but no he turned it down twice. lol and fought 2 world beaters. in clottey and maragarito lol
