Let me put it this way:
You wouldn't know about Arum and King, Ali, Foreman, Lewis,
Holyfield and yes, Pacquiao extending some financial help to
the Frazier family. They've probably already done so, but have
done it quietly, for the family's dignity.
Floyd did good, but maybe he can't help but squeeze publicity
out of everything he does. Maybe he's just the way he is, but
it cheapens any good he does
...and that's just the way it is.

I dont know maybe I was deluding myself, but I feel that as fans of the sport of boxing (not just of a boxer) that people could actually stop spewing venom for at least a little while and give respect to a pioneer of the sport. I guess I was wrong. I dont care if it was Kermit Cintron(who I hate as a fighter) who paid for the funeral I would give him nothing but respect for the gesture. Also I understand that a lot of you dont like floyd mayweather (hes a braggart and a hot head) but how does that equate to him not being a human being? He has been in the sport his entire life, he probably has favorite fighters just like the rest of us. I hope you know he isnt Lucifer right? To demonize a person this badly isnt rational especially when it shouldnt even matter at this point since its about the loss of a legend and not "Money Mayweather.' I guess this should be called MannyvsFloydscene.com since that obviously the only thing you guys care about.

Also again, you don't KNOW who has helped out already.
Joe was loved. LOVED, man.
There's no way his peers and fans wouldn't be offering more
than just emotional support at this time. Most would however
choose to do it quietly. Announcing it may spur others to do
their part, but perhaps someone announcing that has all the
expenses covered, can actually halt the inflow of financial
assistance, precisely because it's already "covered".

you notice, Reed?
What I was pointing out to him was that...
the absence of proof is not proof of absence.
He was assuming no one else had a mind to help out, just because
no one else had 'tweeted' about it.
Those persons extending financial assistance is exactly what I said:
probable. Arum's probably the worst bastard of the lot I named, but
he's quietly helped retired boxers in the past, how much more now
in Joe's case?
