Nobody should be surprised, because Arum did the exact same thing to Marquez, and then he tried to insinuate that JMM was ducking Pac.

They low-balled Maidana. They knew he'd refuse the offer but at least they can say that they 'tried' to make the fight when in fact they had no intention of fighting El Chino.

Although the offer isn't all that great he can't expect to make the 500,000 he made to fight Khan and Morales or even close, especially after Morales made him look one dimensional.

He just isn't that much of a draw out here except with die hard boxing fans, and he only got paid that money because he was fighting fighters that draw a lot of attention.

However because he has come out on TV I think 200-250,000 would have been a fairer offer.

If I was him and felt I could beat Bradley I probably would have fought Bradley anyway. The next fight against a nobody would have to be a higher offer simply by logic. However, I think he saw a lot of risk and didn't want to chance it.

You can't buy a lot of stuff with that money when the government takes a huge chunk of it away, unless you go to a dollar store regularly or or live in a poor place.
