Of course it gets play. Cotto is already somehow the highest ranked jr middleweight champ. If Margarito did beat him he would assume that position. Floyd could fight the winner without help from the sanctioning body ala Pacman-Margarito.

I think Cotto wins this rematch & I would love Cotto-Floyd at full weight for ring at 154!!

The fight to be made back in 07 was Cotto vs Mayweather. Cotto was undefeated and red hot at the moment, I really thought that they were going to get at it. It was a disappointment when I saw Mayweather interview about fighting Cotto and his answer was that Cotto live in PR so they couldn't fight. I still crack up every time I see that interview....LOL.

I think Cotto vs Mayweather was perfect to be made after Cotto beat Mosley in NOV and Floyd beat Hatton a few weeks after. It was immediately after the Hatton fight that Floyd chose to retire.
