Reason why i ask. I remember a lot of people including HBO pushing for the fight between Cotto and Mayweather before Cotto's first lost against Margarito. I recall Larry Merchant stating something along the lines of Mayweather needs to fight a young lion like Cotto.

The fight to be made back in 07 was Cotto vs Mayweather. Cotto was undefeated and red hot at the moment, I really thought that they were going to get at it. It was a disappointment when I saw Mayweather interview about fighting Cotto and his answer was that Cotto live in PR so they couldn't fight. I still crack up every time I see that interview....LOL.
