it's called the "manny pacquiao technique".. fight nobody pad your record fighting bums. get a few washed up guys on your resume who have a name.. avoid real fights. get a good promoter and let the media hype you up even though you have done absolutely nothing.. and create a fake image so the casual fan will like you..

Belts or no, if these two fight I will consider the winner #1 at 154.

The winner would have a solid argument alright.

I wonder where Kirkland is ranked right now, he must be top 5 ?

Also, where is Molina ranked, he must be mid-table somewhere, as would Lara ?

Personally, while there are a number of names at 154 and plenty of action fights to be had, there are very few (if any) proven performers, other than Cotto at welter.

It is hard to get a gauge on Canelo/Chavez/Kirkland/Angulo/ now, and I get the feeling that most top fights at 154 would be real pickem affairs, Cotto included at this stage.

Hard to tell where any of those guys are at.

Canelo shows the most promise but has not actually answered any questions.

i saw cintrons last 2 fights. so did golden boy.

alvarez should be lining up these guys like angulo, kirkland and lara. they are all with golden boy so no excuses yet still no fights. instead he's lining up alfono gomez, mathew hatton, etc...

No, he should not be, because he is clearly not ready yet.
