It's annoying that people assumed Roy didn't have a ton of skill and knowledge just because he didn't fight a textbook style. Totally agree about the older guys, lol. Jones makes his point, it's almost always completely on point and relevant, and he does it very well within the flow of the fight.

Love Jones analyst. Kellerman is Kellerman. Lampley is in over his head w/ his commentary. He brings excitement and enthusiasm but not accuracy. Really like Lederman also.

Anyone notice Ledermans report on the judges scorecard before the stoppage? If it went to the cards someone was going to get robbed.

Oh yeah, that didn't get past me. I didn't think much of it because it was obviously not getting that far, but I wasn't the least bit surprised to hear that.

I'm still in shock that Kirkland got off the mat and dinged El Perro's face like that. If Kirkland comes to fight like that consistently he will string together a lot of wins before maybe losing to Martinez. Only fighter untouchable at his weight IMO is Martinez. Kirkland can give anybody else trouble.

There needs to be a rematch, i think the outcome will be different. Maybe angulo actually trains and has his strength and conditioning coach this time and be more patient with his attack

Eh, he's very crude. I pick Lara or Molina to outbox him with straight shots. He could give everyone else trouble, but he needs to improve his defense or someone will just put his ass down and outclass him with straight counter shots.

I'm not that hyped up on Lara like others. Lara whipped PWill because Martinez exposed his flaws and susceptibility to the left over the top. Lara would fold under Kirlands pressure in my opinion. Kirklands problem is he has no hip or head movement. He walks in head high and flat footed. If he can learn to add in some feints and change levels up and down he can become a lot more dangerous. Also he can be inconsistent with his body attack and tends to head hunt too much. Molina would probable brawl with Kirkland and that would favor James. Still no one else but Martinez looks like a top dog at JMW.

He pointed out correctly that Kirkland wasn't as hurt as thought by the KD. He was just spot on the whole night. Roy needs to stick to announcing and leave the boxing alone. I enjoyed last night so much and If I could, I would demand a refund back from Mayweather/Ortiz and give it to Kirkland/Angulo.

Alos does anybody else think Kellerman has herpes? His lips look real red and blistered.
Nah I remember reading a while ago in an article about Max and Sam Kellerman its actually a scar he got when he was a kid from a loose wire or outlet or something that shocked him on the lip.

But as for the fight I found it late and didnt even get to see the 1st round. I' am still yet to see it. Angulo must have gone all out in that round cause he had nothing left after that.

I think saying that Angulo punched himself out is an excuse. When you have a guy ready to go you should finish him off. He tried his hardest and could not. Credit goes to Kirkland for hanging in there and weathering the early storm. Then he goes on to ****ing one of the toughest chins in the JMW division. If Kirkland lost people would have been calling on him to retire. Since he won big he should get all the props.
