Even though the TS is anti-Mayweather, I think this is a legit question. Kirkland's a legit opponent now, espeacially if he beats Canelo for Floyd's favorite green WBC belt. They could fight in Feb, and the winner gets a fight the 5th. Besides it's more in Floyd's style to fight someone off a good win. If Pac was gonna do it, he would had faught him off of Ishida.
Hey, how about Kirkland vs. Mayweather?

Mayweather would box this guys ears off. Every time someone wins, people act like they're unstoppable.
It was a good win, but let's stop overreacting.Comment

He's not known. After a Marquee fight on HBO? You don't think they can rock 1.5M PPV sales? I do. And he's certainly ranked now. he fights for Golden Boy and Floyd does, too.
If you are saying that Kirkland is too big and strong at 154, that's reasonable.
No, I don't think Floyd is "scared" but I do not think he'd ever share a ring with a monster like that.Comment

Floyd would win every round against Kirkland but Pacquaio vs Kirkland would be an extremely dangerous fight. I mean Pac could possibly knock him out quick but if he doesn't, look out. Either way, neither of those guys would even consider that fight. They would show about the same interest in it as they do the Martinez fight.Comment

Kirkland is tough, but, I don't know if he has that true inner strength. I kinda see Kirkland kind of like a Tyson. Tyson was tough up to a certain point, but, a fighter who really had that warrior spirit was Holyfield.Comment

24/7 would have to work its ass off to make Kirkland sell...I honestly did not see anything last night that would make me think he could beat Mayweather apart from size advantage. Honestly Mayweather would be wayyyyyyyyyyyy too sharp and fast for him. Kirkland showed openings that Floyd would be only too eager to exploit. I don't see how he could land on Mayweather consistently either.
I remember these same topics about Devon Alexander after he knocked out Urango.Comment
