It's not the first fight with OST besides Mayweather. ARD, German TV company, makes all their fighters to through random testing.

Probably the first fight in the united states though

Nothing wrong with the testing bi\ut lets be real. If you want real testing there has to be one governing body of all boxers (which boxing doesnt have). That way all boxers can randomly be tested throughout the year. Testing for a month or two leading up to the fight isn't going to catch anyone with half a brain.

apparently the test must be good for something if dibella picked it up. i'm sure they wouldn't be willing to pay ~50k$ for a completely useless test?! obviously the year-round testing is the goal, but it will take time, resources and money to implement.and there's enough money in pro boxing for this.

It's better than 3 scheduled tests. Just because it's not 100% fool proof doesn't mean people shouldn't do it, let's take that first step and then move on from there instead of just accepting things as they are.

I realise that this thread is part and parcel of some weird fan-boi agenda.

However, I support stringent drug testing regimens for all pro athletes and especially boxers.

                      Good for Ortiz ands Berto.
