But Lebedev is no joke but I think Tarver does some things that could cause Lebedev problems.
yeah lebedev is a fine boxer with solid power but i feel if tarver can land his own left hand on lebedevs chin that he will hurt him badly!
James kept bending into lebedevs left hand! tarver is bigger than lebedev and can fight tall! he will show him things he never has seen before!
      Lebedev lacks killer instinct IMO

Lebedev deserves his due. I haven't seen the fight yet, but injuries are part of the sport. Both showed class in the post fight press conference. The only thing that surprised me was Toney saying Lebedev was faster than Jirov. He would know better than me so.......Maybe it's just his awkward fighting style that makes him appear not very fast.

I'll admit I didn't see the fight but the photos I've seen online look like Lebedev landed some nice punches on Toney. And Lebedev has pretty solid pop to his punches. You don't always have to knock your opponent out to cause damage to them.
how can you say you hope he's being sarcastic and you didnt even see the fight??if you watch the fight you see he hurt his knee clear as day

So, stuff like that is going to happen during a fight. I've seen several photos of Toney eating punches and looking like his heads snapping back. You don't think thats any punishment to that?

One thing you can give a compliment to Toney is that atleast he didn't pull a Hopkins.

At 42, Lebedev probably appears faster to Toney than what he would have 10 years ago.

I thought Lebedev executed a solid if unexciting gameplan (no doubt laid down by his trainer Tszyu) which took full advantage of Toney's weakened reflexes, speed and especially balance by timing him with multiple left hands every time Toney slowly bent down to avoid the punch.

He didn't go for power, just to score points and throw Toney off balance. He mixed up well with his left hand to the head and body and showed a decent jab. His footwork was better too although this may have been highlighted by Toney's poor, unbalanced footwork.

Solis and Toney injuring their knees tells me you can't fluctuate from being fit on occassion (because these fighters are walking around at 30-40 pounds), then transition to obesity for a stretch, and then try being fit again without there being consequences.

I didn't know Warren is Lebedev's promoter either, but the route he's taking has become a little clearer.
